I tried to place a carryout order in advance through Yelp but had to wait until at least 4 hours before the pickup time. At 3 hours & 50 minutes, I tried to place the order again, but I continued to get the '4 hour' prompt. After multiple tries, it was finally accepted. To be fair, this may have been a Yelp issue, but it was frustrating. My daughter went to pick up the prepaid order curbside & was told they had no order for us. She called home to verify that we had ordered from this location (which is about 4 miles from our house). I sent a screen shot of the confirmation showing the order details, the location, the order number, etc.. They finally found the order and said that it was ordered through 'Grub Hub, even though the confirmation said Yelp & the pickup time was specified for 5:00. My name & the order number should have been sufficient to find the large order. When my daughter got home, the food was only slightly warm, the dipping sauces for the 2 'tasteless' appetizers were missing, and there was no BBQ sauce included. The ribs, turkey, & brisket were good, the rest of the food was average, and none of it was worth the time and the hassle. What a...
Read moreBeing from the Midwest, I've eaten a lot of barbecue, not all good but, Bandana's continuously serves decent food. It's nothing to write home about but if you're looking for a meal you can count on being good, Bandana's has got you covered, as long as you've got time to burn. That is my biggest, and only issue, the wait. I understand that they're probably understaffed and that not having enough employees causes delays and makes cook time and prep less efficient, but wait times have been an issue with this location for years. There have been times when I've wondered if it would be quicker to drive to the Lindbergh location order my food, wait for it to be ready, and then drive back out to the Manchester location. But worry not, regardless of the wait times, I will continue to eat at your restaurant because I know I can trust you to serve good food and to have a diverse selection of sauces (I personally recommend a blend of the KC and Chicago styles- 1 part KC to 2 parts Chicago). I definitely recommend trying Bandana's if you've never been before, just make sure not to have...
Read moreAs someone who basically doesn't like barbeque, especially BBQ sauce, I am quite happy with this place. The waitress was great. When she found out I had never been before, she gave a quick but thorough rundown of the menu, she brought out all the sauce choices available for me to try, and she went the extra mile when she offered to mix ranch and their spicy bbq sause together for a treat. Let me tell you, I was hesitant because I had tried them separately and wasn't impressed, but was that stuff yummy once mixed. Highly recommend. I hate ocra (oak-ra), but the mixture of sauce and ranch made it go down nicely. Their ribs were meaty with no fat in them, the garlic bread was good, as were the fries. I ordered the rib sandwich, came with the above mentioned items and three ribs, for $8.99. I am full and satisfied, the price was absolutely worth it. Their only downfall that I can't forgive is they serve Pepsi products. Although, my lunch buddy had some of the best Dr. Pepper I had ever tasted and I am not fond...
