Terrible customer service. I got the tandoori chicken sandwich. The description said nothing about being breaded. The chicken came out soggy and, in my opinion, inedible. It was also VERY spicy with no "hot" warning. After telling the manager what my problems were with the food, I asked as nicely as I could for a different sandwich filling. I was told I would have to purchase another sandwich. She said this is how they've made it for 12 years and they can't change the recipe just for me. I DID NOT ASK HER TO CHANGE THE RECIPE. I didn't even want a brand new sandwich. I just wanted a different meat. I work at a restaurant and I know the cost of replacing 3-4oz of meat is not worth a bad customer experience or a bad review. I don't care how good you think your food is or how long you've been making it that way; if the customer asks for something different, you do your best to accommodate them, especially if they are nice about it. To top it all off, after refusing to buy another sandwich, the woman went in the kitchen and complained about me to another employee loudly enough for me to hear it. So yeah, definitely won't be...
Read moreIf you're in the Chesterfield/Creve Coeur area, you have to try Pita Plus. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. Even though we walked in less than 15 minutes before closing, he still gave us the option to dine in or take it to go. He recommended the falafel platter and said it was a popular favorite. So we decided to give it a try. The falafel here is one of the best i have had in St. Louis. It is made fresh packed with a lot of flavor, crunchiness and tastes delicious.
In addition to the falafel plate (with hummus and salad) we ordered a classic gyro. The pita bread is made fresh and hot which is a plus. They have a plethora of sauces in the refrigerator that you can ask for at request including tzatziki and hot chili sauce. Portions are moderate. They also have some homemade desserts. The food is made to order and hot. There is a small seating area if you want to dine in or you can take it to go. Perfect for lunch or dinner. We will...
Read moreI don't know who wrote positive reviews, they can't be actual customers, family maybe, as the bad reviews are exactly my experience. The place is small and the people annoyed you crossed their threshold. The lady rushed out from the back, rushed through the order, she rang up a bottle of water at 1.69 I didn't want, before I could ask she ran back to take care of a catering order. You could hear her going on and on with another lady, they were very adjitated - I don't need to hear that as I eat. Sorry I bothered you! I got that gyro platter. For 8.79 I got 3 slices of nuked meat, a cold Pita, some tomatoes, a pickle and some spinach thing. All right from your freezer section. I have had a more authentic Gyro from the hot dog guy outside the Home Depot. Certainly a better value. I hope they keep getting catering orders as I will...
