Being my second time eating here I was excited bc it was so good the 1st time. I ordered and asked 2 times to please make sure there is no red sauce on the burritos. (No allergy, just don't not like it) The waitress agreed twice and when my food was brought out it had red sauce all over it, so I VERY POLITELY send the dish back and just ate 1 taco brought on a separate plate and the chips. Side note, it's the only Mexican place anywhere that you have to pay for chips and salsa. Once we received our bill I saw that the food wasn't taken off the bill, so I mentioned to the waitress and she said she had to ask the manager who was at the bar the whole time and witnessed the food being sent back and NOT ONCE came to make sure everything was good. She told him that I didn't want to pay for my food bc I didn't like it..... UM WORNG!! He still never came to the table and but only took off $3.00!! She said that's all he would do bc it was my fault I didnt order it without red sauce!!! Seriously?! I said twice and she looked in my eyes and said yes maam.... We didn't make a scene and just paid the bill, but to be so new it should do better. Plus 13 of the 5 stars are people you see that...
Read moreToday was my first time going. My daughter and I went today after church. We had to pay for the chips and salsa (which is usually free at other Mexican restaurants). My daughter only wanted queso and chips. When the waitress brought the queso to us, it was cold. I informed her and she took it back. She stated “ it should be good now”…well it was not. It was at this point room temperature.
I ordered the Happy Platter (Plate) or whatever the name was. I asked for pico de gallo to be added. It was not. She eventually brought it to the table after I mentioned it to her.
THIS IS WHY I AM LEAVING MY REVIEW. There were only 4 customers in the restaurant. My daughter and I were the only African Americans. The manager talked, connected and kept checking to see if the other 2 customers needed anything and how was the service. Not one time did he come over or connect with me and my daughter. Because of this, I will NOT be back. The food was pretty good but because of this, I will not spend my money with an establishment that seems to have an issue with “my color” and I will be sure to tell everyone I know about...

Maybe my expectations had been set too high after reading all the FIVE STAR reviews but somewhere between the frozen cheese dip and soft, doughy flautas (almost felt wet), I had to make sure we were even in the right place. It was obvious our waitress wasn't enthused about working a Friday early evening shift (@ 6pm) but I remember what it was like at her age having to work in the service industry. What I DID NOT APPRECIATE was the fact she: #1) rang me up for the correct food items (total @ $25) but charged me $39 -- she even gave me the two different tickets when she brought my card back; and, #2) when I noticed the error and brought it to the attention of the manager, SHE (MY SERVER) DID NOT APOLOGIZE FOR HER ERROR DESPITE THE MANAGER BRINGING IT TO HER ATTENTION IN FRONT OF ME. If I wouldn't have noticed, this girl would have scammed me out of at least $15 -- I wonder how many times she's done this and gotten...
