I’m going to start out I’ve been coming here on & off for 17 I have worked in the food industry for bout 20 years With that said I’ve been here 2x in the past 3 days & the difference in the workers and how they work the food servers that are out where you can see them and the weight staff it’s like daylight and dark difference between the two My server the other day was like she didn’t like her job & just didn’t want to be there plates sat on the table for a while Jim my server to I made it a point to remember he’s been the best server I’ve since coming here the man didn’t slow making eye with every table he had bringing ice for his station & making sure there were plates in his area for us I’ve never seen a wait staff ever do that with the plate he has been the first wait staff I’ve seen in a long time in mobile just have that hard work eithc & I don’t see no bad habits Now the other wait staff playing with their hair fixing their hair where the customers can see it playing with their faces or glasses trying to look cute The food prep team The bakery as you can see in the photo not so much they have better things to do then their job like eat cookies off the tray let other people eat cookies off the trays let other employees gob in the pies dig in their ears coughing over the food & putting it out instead of throwing it away you know the good stuff & if you zoom in on the photo & you will see food on the counter it was like that all the away round the bar Ones hair wasn’t properly secured so she would move around the areas her hair would drag across the counter the food rack with food on it I mean seriously I wouldn’t want my hair matted with food I’d put it up The hot bar The man on the grill has been doing good for years the bar itself was pretty good looking
The salad bar looked ok as well there was 1 lady from the salad & 1 from the bakery were the only 2 that had their long hair put up properly When I was in the food industry I had hair down to my waist & I had to put it up in a high ponytail or braid it Because I didn’t want food in my hair I didn’t want it in my face The board of health rules It just looks like management are socially accepting of this All these years never really had to put a review it’s a buffet it is what it is But today it’s like some much back to back the other day was some what better Still had waitstaff playing with their faces & hair It’s crazy how nowadays so much has become socially acceptable in the food industry vs the last time I had worked in the food industry & everyone wondering why covid stayed around as long as it had It doesn’t matter what time of day or day of the week NONE of these people know how to wash their hand before putting those gloves on I’ve even said something to the manager because I figured it might’ve been an employee problem but being here tonight saying that nobody does it makes it it’s a management problem which will be my last time here I mean I quit coming for a long time because of the same issue and then they got new managers and new people and everything was OK for a while. Now it’s back to where it used to be all nasty and people on their phone in touching dirty dishes and then bringing clean dishes out without washing your hands and all that other stuff it’s just no wonder buddy gets sick and Covid spread as fast as a dead. Nobody pays attention and obviously management don’t care because one of the managers was right next to the person that was playing on their phone and watch them put their phone back up and just put the...
Read moreI am making this review as I am tired of having to continually deal with there not either being any Collards or Cornbread left in the tray. I visit the restaurant typically in the afternoons around 3pm to order takeout at least 3xs a week. Who on GOD'S green earth wants to have to wait on there (take-out) meal every single time, not even every once in a while? Who wants to have to stand around and sit on their meal to get cold? I informed Jimmy(Head Cook) that I've had this experience continually and it's unacceptable..told him that the trays should not be totally empty or at least something should be prepared as it is a high requesting item. Who wants greens without cornbread in the Deep South?? Most of us do not..Jimmy did not handle the situation professionally..he was very defensive and made a million excuses. He once stated that there was no cornbread in the store..the other gentleman(Mgr)..I'm uncertain of his name stated that there were some and I'd have to wait. At least the Caucasian gentleman was more professional. I had to tell Jimmy that I wasn't going back and forth with him and he escalated the situation. He acted as if a paying customer was causing him trouble. He walked into the Employee's room as if he was angry. It was distasteful to behave this way with a customer in front of EVERYONE! There was a gentleman that sought out Julie for me..I assume he briefed her the situation as she had a stone cold look on her face. She stated that they don't put out a lot of food..everything else was mostly full except these high demand items. Besides, I didn't ask for her to put out a lot of food. Can you put out some food! She had zero compassion and was passive-aggressive. She made no resolution and did nothing to reassure me that my experience wouldn't happen again..The seem to stick together in a not so good way..I am forced to leave this review as no one in the store seems to care and maybe a compassionate and professional leader would reprimand their employees for there actions. I would NOT be leaving this review if the situation was professionally handled by MGMT. I have no reason to fabricate a story. I am a woman of character and integrity. I've had better customer service from McDonald's..If I be a liar, roll back the cameras and listen in..I have great influence and will inform all of my colleagues not to frequent this store if the behavior continues. And as an Owner, I personally wouldn't allow 2 or 3 bad apples to spoil my barrel and run off my paying customers.
Ps. On my way out of the door..a customer approached me stating that she had a bad experience with Julie..she stated that she would leave a review...not sure if she will, but it's a least worth...
Read moreThey need to start saying that they stop breakfast at 10:30. I hate it just about every time I come here if you come at 10:30 they will not have hardly any breakfast. To me it's just plain lazy or poor management practices. I complained today, came up there and brought my whole family for us to have to turn around because we do not want lunch at 10: 30. It was 10:30 and they were almost completely out of breakfast I said that they will not make it anymore the guys up there cooking, it just makes more sense to just say that they stop serving breakfast at 10:30 instead of 11 that is definitely false advertisement. This has happened one too many times. The breakfast is actually halfway decent I really don't like that lunch I enjoy them breakfast at times but I hate that they do this on Saturday nobody wants to get up and have to rush if you get there when breakfast hours still serving you should be able to eat breakfast period. Who used to go to the Golden corral all the time my family almost has stuck in the Golden corral things like but this is the reason why I barely go now for things like this the service is not good when it comes to stuff like this and they will not listen to customer feedback like this should. Makes me want to never go back. In fact what we did today was we went home and made our own breakfast we left and went right back out the door nobody wants lunch at 10:30 it's Saturday. Their sales will probably go up if you live up to the expectations that you say and make sure that we have a real breakfast up until the time that you advertised which is 11:00 am. And even if you extended it some on Saturdays it will probably boost your sales, because think about it there is no other breakfast buffet really a while because if there was I would probably go there for sure. Just some true business insight. Sign very...
