What a little jewel of a spot - I accidentally stumbled across this place and when we walked through the door it was like we went to another dimension.

The ambiance - this is the most genuinely friendly place I’ve ever experienced and I’m not just talking about the staff. The customers all seemed to know each other and even engaged us in conversation like we were part of the regular crowd that came daily at this spot.

The food - wow I wasn’t expecting this in Mobile - no offense but as a worldly traveled person I’ve had sushi all over the country including Hawaii & Seattle, and this came as close to it as it could in the area, we really enjoyed it so much I forgot to take pictures! Pretty much everything has cream cheese, but don’t let this turn you off, this is NOT low quality sushi, I bet they add the cream cheese as a way to introduce new taste buds from the area to a new food, we asked for no cream cheese and they easily accommodated us and it was very fresh and very tasty!

STAY AWAY! Sat down and was immediately servered. We ordered 2 Kirin. We were asked if we wanted glasses for the bottles we were given. We said yes and received 2 of the filthiest glasses I have ever seen. Unfortunately I already poured my beer into the frozen glass and placed my lips on the rim that was crusted over in what looked like ear wax pulled out of a dead dog. The waitress immediately asked if we needed new glasses, she was on the other side of the sushi bar. When she brought out another glass we asked for the check.

We were charged for both beers, although one remained in the filthy frozen glass on the table.

I got this delivered by the app waitr and I am extremely disappointed. My crab rangoon literally has no filling in it. Like, none. I dont expect them to be bursting with filling but this place is very evidently cutting corners and skimping on ingredients. My clear soup (I ordered the large container) tasted like water with mushrooms in it. When I pulled the container out of the paper bag there was a long black hair stuck to the container.
