Villa Del Rey Cocina Mexicana " West Mobile on Schillinger Rd" — Restaurant in Mobile

Seriously the best Mexican restaurant I've been to and I eat out to Mexican restaurants weekly. My sister tried this place first and told me how great it was so I planned my daughter's party here on a short notice! I called about 30 minutes before we got there and asked them to reserve a table for a party. We had no wait time and made it there in timeIt was amazing our waiter was on point! Never had to wait on a refill kept our glasses filled and checked on us. Food was brought out quickly and correct. The food was great! My husband had a few margaritas and they were good and at a great price when we went. even for a party of 12 he did an amazing job and me and my sister left a large tip! Made my daughter feel so special for her birthday they genuinely was excited for her being her birthday and talked with her making her feel like the only girl in the room and she ate it up. She is a sassy 8 year old now. I would recommend this place over any others that I've been to! Very nice and clean comfortable setting. They even have a special candle for the birthday girl that was like fireworks or something my daughter was thrilled to say the least everyone in the restaurant loved the candle they used for her! Thanks again for making my daughter's day so special! We will be returning very soon!! All in all it was great and if you try it I bet you would love it too! And I'd definitely go here for another birthday!...

Ok so just a disclaimer we have been going to this restaurant for almost 2 years. It's been our normal spot to go get mexican food. The food has always been great and the staff were friendly and quick. However after tonight I don't think we will be back anytime soon if ever.

My gf ordered the birria tacos and a couple of bites in found a long dark hair (she is blone) in the taco. The guy who brought us our food saw it and without us saying anything he apologized and toom the food back to have it remade. Gross but hey mistakes happen and they were going to make it right we were fine with that.

Our issue came up when the "manager" (young kid didn't get his name) came up to our table. He at first seemed apologetic but then made it sound like the hair was our fault. He explained the guys in the back wear hair nets and so implied it was my gfs hair. Again she's blonde and the hair was down in the taco. We never once asked for them to take it off the bill or anything. We didn't even ask to have it remade. Our issue is being talked too like we were the problem.

So we got to go boxes, payed our bill, and tipped our waitress. Then left, didn't want to cause a scene but felt something had to be said. Again I don't think we will be back and will find a new...

Called in an order tonight and the person on our receipts name is Javi. I ordered food for my entire family, including my two children. The guy sounded new because he kept fumbling over the items I was ordering. I ordered the Flautas meal and he couldn’t tell me right off hand if I could get split between beef and chicken. Then I ordered the combination plate and he couldn’t tell me if it was 2 or 3 items. He kept telling me to hold on. My 65 year old mother went to pick up the food and brought it home. We got it home and we were missing one of the kids meals. I called up to let them know we were missing an order and he said that we must not have placed it but both my mom and my husband heard me say both kids meals. He said he could get it ready for me and in customer service terms I thought that meant no charge because his employee didn’t get our order right nor did he repeat our order at the end of the call. My mom went back to get the food and he was going to charge her for it. My mom just told him not to worry about it and left it. We have supported this restaurant since the day they were opened and I even have ordered multiple catering orders for my employees. Aztecas...
