I have a hard time not giving good reviews and tried really hard to like this place. It has so much potential but owners are not present and it shows. It started when we walked in, there were about 4 employees milling about behind the bar and not a single person even glanced in our direction. We continue to be completely unacknowledged until we finally walked up to the check out counter. We weren’t sure how things work there so it would’ve been nice to have someone look in our direction or talk to us, they were not busy. We figured out that you place your order at the register, they had a special menu but 2/3’s of it was unavailable. They stated the nighttime people did not prep properly. We asked for mimosas but we’re told we cannot buy a single mimosa but I had to get a bucket because they might not use that the whole bottle of champagne. After we ordered our entrées, we then tried to find a clean table to sit. They were all dirty excepting one by a window. We waited a really long time and finally got our meal but mine was not as described. It was supposed to have potatoes and there was simply was not any side, the sandwich was not made as described (missing spinach, was on a croissant and not the bread described). Server was going to walk off but I stopped her and I noted this didn’t seem like what I had ordered. I asked to see the description, only then did she note they were out of the offered side item and gave alternatives and acknowledged the sandwich was wrong. She then offered to have them add the missing items. No go on bread choice, they ran out. Took a long time to get sandwich back, I thought I was getting a new one, my husband had finished his meal when it finally came back. Same sandwich with some sautéed spinach added but otherwise cold. We ended up staying a good hour and a half as a bucket of mimosas took time to drink, I felt woosie from so much and definitely tipsy…I get it, my choice, but weird it was basically forced on us. Just as we were leaving, someone started cleaning tables. It was around 1:30 and they were closing early at 2:00 (posted hours was 7:00). It’s too bad, we had really looked forward to trying this place.
Update: I don’t know how to comment back so adding to the review to respond to business question. The 4 is a typo, should be a 7, I updated. Surprised that’s the only thing you took away from this experience. Can’t remember the exact date, it was a Sunday a...
Read moreMy husband and I came last night for a new date night place! We walked in and the atmosphere is very cute and the staff was very friendly!
I went in with the soul purpose of getting the stuffed French toast. However when we got there, we were informed that breakfast is not served after 3pm on Friday’s, which we were both unaware of as the menu states breakfast served all day. But that’s okay, I ended up getting the peanut butter and jelly and a side of macaroni salad and my husband got the French onion burger and macaroni salad.
We decided to eat outside because it’s so cute out there and was really nice out! Food came out about 20 minutes later which we thought was very quick. My peanut butter and jelly was delicious and tasted so fresh! My husband really enjoyed his French onion burger as well and we LOVED the macaroni salad!
We decided to come back this morning so I could get the French toast and my husband last minute decided he wanted the RED SEC! I walked in and one of the staff members recognized me from the day before! We also each got a latte and they were amazing!! I had pumpkin Friday night and did the maple butterscotch today and my husband did the vanilla. We loved that while there was some flavor to the latte it wasn’t overpowering and we could still taste the coffee!
We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals this morning and will absolutely be coming back for more coffee and meals! This is a very sweet locally owned shop, who remembers you when you walk in! It appears very family friendly and we are grateful to live pretty close to this little gem! My only complaint is that they aren’t open at 6am for me to get my coffee on the way to work each...
Read moreIf you want to give this place a shot, be mindful of the critical reviews and the owner's response to them. This person had to point out that they have no servers even though someone served me food at at my table(?). There is an excuse for everything - from blaming the current state of the post-pandemic restaurant business to insisting that ridiculous wait times are associated with their farm to table menu. The owner complains when someone leaves a bad review after a terrible first visit. For me, the visit was so bad that the 1-star review was absolutely warranted. I earnestly wanted to like this place. I didn't even get to try the coffee because the food and experience were so awful. Seems like your personal experience may vary wildly from day to...
