Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Modesto

Don't know his name; but if he reads this review which I hardly ever do reviews but when I do I do them for a good reason; he should know who he is. Cause I'm sure we were the only ones that day that walked out on him during that time.young looking guy light skinned; clean face(no facial hair)looks like age 21 to 25 years old; this was yesterday Nov.19 @ around 4pm. Our potential waiter(which is him btw)passed us several times saying I'll be with you guys shortly; we waited over 15 minutes with nothing, then when he does show up and time to serve us we decide to tell him we are just going to go somewhere else; said it without an attitude(actually my brother said it very calmly and nice) and all this waiter says is "ok bye" very abruptly and seemed very bothered; saying it like whatever guys I don't care go ahead and go. He immediately left us went to attend another table and didn't even say my apologies for the dam long wait or anything. Bro honestly I'm very cool and chill but you Mr. Applebee's waiter was nothing but immature and unprofessional. You know very well who this person writing this review is( I'm sure you don't forget the people that walk out on you) your the only reason why we decided to leave. Everything else was going good even the energy but you just sucked it all out. Be courteous to others and you will go in life a long way. Do better. I did leave to Texas Roadhouse and had a blast. (If this comment gets deleted I will just try harder to post and make sure this review stays. It's important Applebee's knows which employees are actually hurting the business.) Never have I had a bad experience at Applebee’s until now! I called to place a curbside pick up order and the girl who answered was very nice and took my order down even though she was off the clock… he informed me that due to the fact that she walked she could not bring up my order to give me the total that would place me on a brief hold the bartender would be with me shortly. After waiting over 15 minutes on hold my phone died and I had to find my charger charge my phone and call back. When I did the gentleman who answered read my order back to me and said he would be right out. When he came outside he only had part of my order saying the kitchen did not see one the items and that it should only be a few minutes. He ran my card and finally showed up with the rest of my food. I signed the receipt and asked if I could please get an extra side of sauce... he said that he would be right back out with it. After sitting there waiting for over 10 minutes I finally had to ask another employee who was leaving for the night if they could possibly check on it for me. Thankfully she came right back outside with it. When I opened everything to start eating I was pissed!! They charged me $4.50 for 4 of the SMALLEST pieces of shrimp I have ever seen! Not only that, but the bowl of soup I ordered was BARELY filled halfway!! Overcharged and underserved... what a...

Very mid service.. we came here earlier today and there wasn’t much people. I waited super long for my drink order from the bar even though it was slow. The host wasn’t super friendly either. Not a very welcoming atmosphere. There were flying nats around or table. Nothing like things flying into your nose while eating. We had to flag someone down to take the plates from our appetizers. We have several empty plates and they brought our dinner without trying to clear the table. Waited super long for steak sauce after getting our food.. we waited unnecessarily long times when they weren’t even busy. Our server dropped off our tab and told us to pay at the cashier. We all heard her. There wasn’t a tablet to pay at our table. So we all awkwardly stood toward the bar with our kids while the host checked us out. Won’t be back.

**Update: The manager had called us regarding our experience and apologized and offered to send a few vouchers and to potentially change the review had the service changed. I had two managers call me. It’s been quite a while later and they never made on those vouchers. Not very great problem solving or customer service...
