Yesterday we came here for a delightful tea experience for my cousins birthday. BUT that is not at all what we received. Our waitress Julie was very great in her attitude I felt and explained the menus well. BUT THE TEAS AND FOOD AND MIMOSAS TOOOK FOREVER. We were there for an hour almost and barely received our mimosas for our reserved party. No finger foods or tea on the table. We reserved for 13 people which everyone showed up. They did not chill our glasses for mimosas so we had to wait.. (why we had a reservation, no prep) they also told usthey were short staffed ( why we had a party of 13, no prep). After over an hour there was still no food or tea. We then say we are not going to wait and our leaving we have not received any food or tea only a mimosa after an hour !!!! She then tells us that she is going to charge our card on file for everything even though we never received anything. How??? How can you charge us for something we did not receive ? That took forever to prepare and we never seen? Ridiculous, then the owner arrives and that's when I realized it's even worse and this is why they are not prepared. This woman Judith is so bland and no emotion at all . We express our concerns to her about timing and said reservation rules and she had NOTHING TO SAY AT ALL. No apologies no clarification nothing. I really wanted to enjoy this place but nope. Do not recommend for a party. And I suggest that JUDITH GO TO CUSTOMER SERVICE OR BUSINESS CLASSES. Your employees are being held back by your...

My girlfriends and I were so excited to try this place. So much that we conference called days before to look at the menu and really prep for our experience here. We all agreed we wanted to try a little bit of everything, afterall, we are driving two hours to get there. On arrival, we were sat down at our prepped table. Our hostess wasn’t the most welcoming at first and we let it pass. We asked for a shepherds pie which was on her cafe menu, and she told us that our menu was set. We were confused. Why would she not want to sell us additional items, right? We thought maybe it is a reservation item.. we checked the website, no reservations were required. We asked her as second time; “Let’s see how you feel after the tower.” She stepped away. Girl! We want to try the pie!… What restaurant does this? Everything came out. The tea was great, the food was okay and still we wanted the pie. We drove out here and we wanted to get the most out of our experience, we noticed other interactions with customers that were just not up to par with any service establishment. We found a hair in our scone, when we discreetly let her know she looked annoyed. No apology, nothing was said. She took it and handed us a new one without dialogue… lol at this point we decided we were done. We finished our tea and left. Will not be recommending this place. Just order your tea online and slice your cucumbers at home.

Went there for morning tea. Very pretty surroundings. The servers were polite and friendly. The list of teas was two pages long. The morning tea menu consists of several kinds of muffins, a list the server tells you of the scones for the day, and avocado toast with either a poached egg or a seasoned (spicy?) cucumber. That's about it. I had jasmine green tea, which was ok. My friend cannot have caffeine; there were only two teas on the menu that said "no caffeine." When asked, the server really had no knowledge of the teas offered. She said the herbal teas "should" be caffeine free. That is not acceptable for someone has a medical reason for not having caffeine. If you aren't an expert, be cautious in what you order. The menu did have a caution over the list of herbal teas along the lines of making sure you were familiar with the ingredients. So...the tea arrived TEPID at best. Not even lukewarm. Although the server had asked how we wanted our poached egg and we both said "medium," our eggs were both VERY hard boiled. Also cold. My raspberry scone had some kind of undertaste that was not pleasant. An all around unsatisfactory meal. Plus my friend ended up with an upset stmach from the caffeine free berry (+ MANY ingredients) tea. When we were leaving, people were ordering lunch, which looked more plentiful.
