Posh Bagel — Restaurant in Modesto

I really wanted to love this place, as the food is good, but they consistently get my order wrong 99% of the time. I used to come here often on my lunch break and order a bagel sandwich, and I'd usually wait about 15 minutes for it, which would be fine if they gave me the right sandwich! Each time, it'd be wrong. Still delicious, but wrong. I only have 30 minutes on my lunch break, so I'd let them know it was wrong but just take it because I needed time to eat. But as someone with a food allergy (avocado), it is concerning that someday I might be served something that could be dangerous for me, unknowingly.

Because of this, I tried coming here twice just for coffee, as their coffees are good too, and I was served the wrong one on two different occasions, once I ordered a mocha latte and was given a caramel one, and another time I ordered the mocha again, only to be given a white mocha, and when I asked them to remake it, there was a weird grainy powder on the bottom of my cup! At that point I asked for a refund. The young man working there at the time was apologetic and gave me my refund with no issue, but I really wanted a coffee with no fuss.

I understand it can be busy and hard to keep track of things, but even if it takes a couple minutes longer, I'd much rather be served my order correctly, and made to the premium standard that the price commands here.

I wouldn't return, I have given this place too...

For the love of all things, holy, I believe it is impossible to get a toasted bagel… this place is great if you want fast food and are not too particular on what they give you. They pretty much make whatever they want and serve it to you regardless what you ask for. If it resembles anything like what you ordered, be happy and walk away. Don’t ask for a toasted bagel. We’re having forbid a double toasted bagel there is nothing here that is toasted as you can see from the picture it’s not even warm in for those that are curious toasted is crunchy warm golden brown on the outside, soft and fluffy in the middle, this is not that so if having a crunchy warm golden brown delicious bagel is what you’re looking for has this place up because it’s not gonna happen… I’ve been here numerous times over the years and have never received a decent...

Avoid this place, they may have great bagels but if you enjoy being scammed come here, I've been going there for years, and have ordered the same two bagels for two years, I'm a weekly buyer. On this particular day they decided to up charge me 4.00$ for extra cream cheese on two bagels mind it bagels with cream cheese are 3.99 with cream cheese, when I kindly asked about the situation the owner just said rudly to his employee just give him the money, no sorry what so ever, was completely rude, also handled money and made the food which is disgusting. I ended up leaving the money behind because it's not about the money it's about the principal that I've been a religious customer for years and they may forget, and think they can up charge their loyal customers.
