This restaurant/bar has a typical Wisconsin bar atmosphere. We went on a Friday night for their fish fry and was unimpressed! First the waitress forgot our appetizer completely, and to top it off my walleye was FULL of bones, so much so that I could barely eat it. If you are going here, avoid the cod and walleye and just go with the perch which doesn't typically have that many bones. The salad bar is hidden in the back and was basic and boring.

Celebrated my friends birthday at Tully's (my 1st time there). It was kinda like that TV show, "Cheers" from way back in the day. Servers and patrons all had non judgemental vibes. The Fish fry was on point, Wow! The past 10 years Culver's has been my favorite just because everyone has been dropping the ball. But not Tully's! Kudos to them, I'll be back.

Friday Night Fish Fry was AMAZING! Fresh Battered Perch Good Homemade Tarter Sauce. Salad Bar was NOT Handicap Accessible Very Tight Squeeze to make a salad but overall VERY GOOD. I will return and Highly Recommend Fish Fry. 6:30pm and not crowded

Awesome local bar / restaurant. The drinks are strong and the staff are always friendly. Great if you don't want to go somewhere too spendy. There are lots of options in the $6-10 range. It's ungenerous that Google lists them as serving "pub grub": the menu is large and varied.

I've gotten the Friday night all-you-can-eat perch twice, and once it was pretty good and the other time it was fantastic. The patty melt was also good. The nachos are amazing. They have hashbrowns as an option for your potato side, a nice touch. One odd-but-good thing is that even their blatantly freezer-to-fryer food is very well done: the shrimp basket was perfect and their sweet potato fries are some of the best I've ever had.

A few negatives: if you're looking for a large beer selection, head to one of the many great places for that in Madison. The salad bar is nothing to write home about. The bar gets pretty crowded around dinner time, though we've never had an issue finding seating.

Overall, as long as you're not looking for fancy, it's one of the best...

I've been a loyal customer since 2015 when I lived in the neighborhood. Three years ago I relocated to the Middleton area. I still continued to visit just not so often. Driving 36 miles round trip was more about me Sharing a kind word and a cold beer. Having spent over 40 years in the hospitality industry as owner operator. For the most part they have attentive staff and management that cares. I've always enjoyed their food. I had a craving for potato skins one of my favorite appetizers, so I made the trip with hungry anticipation. After quenching my thirst and developing an appetite. I ordered my potato skins. The last time I ordered them they were very traditional Idaho potato skins a very nice product that I've had several times and enjoyed. When my order came the skins were small golf ball size russet potatoes cut in half. They had a really nice menu product before I didn't understand the reasoning behind changing it to something that was over priced and very forgettable. Needless to say it's not worth driving 36 mi round...

We stayed at nearby motel in December 2023 and we were tired as we arrived but needed something to eat. We checked out nearby restaurants and were somewhat nervous to try the place right next door due to reviews , We were traveling south for the winter through Madison. The place was just what we were looking for. Service was excellent. We shared a patty melt and had each had a drink. The atmosphere was lively and had a very welcoming ambiance. There was a pool tournament going on that looked very fun , if you played pool, and the bar was filled with people that all greeted each other and were very friendly. A couple that entered as we did went out of their way to make room for us at the bar. Our waitress could not have been better, friendly and efficient. It seemed like the google reviews were all people from the past that had made comments and I thought we should share that this was a very good experience if you are looking for a place to have good food in nice friendly atmosphere.Good...
