Perfect Crab Cajun Seafood — Restaurant in Gloucester Township

The manager of this place is highly unprofessional.

They mixed up my fiancés order and put the wrong sauce due to which the owner stated was due to the “negligence of our new waitress” and instead of offering a refund of our 80$ order of king crabs, mussels and clams or starting fresh, she rinsed the sauce off with water and added the correct sauce over top which left us with a salty, inedible order which is nonetheless, extremely unhygienic.

When confronted about rinsing off the food with water she offered to give a “combo B on the house” next time which is not even half the cost of what we paid instead of redoing the order entirely. After declining and asking for a refund the owner stated “We’re really sorry, we can’t refund the full amount. You know king crab is very expensive. How about I give you half a gift card instead?”

So not only did they admit to their employee being at fault, they also refuse to amend their mistakes by offering a refund.

My wife and I loved this place. We ordered some hush puppies, and a couple crab pot combos with cajun and house seasoning (spicy level) and it was all superb. The crab pots come in a self contained plastic steam bags with tons of sauce, vegetables, and shrimp. Everything was steamed perfectly, and very very saucy (the seasoning mixed with the butter and steam in the bag) which made every bite (crab, corn, potato, shrimp, or broccoli) a treat. I never usually eat all the potatoes and corn in a crab pot, but in this case it was just too good especially with the seasoning.

Speaking of seasoning - they have several varieties, with different heat levels and multiple crab pot combos - so there are plenty of options. My wife couldn't stop talking about how amazing the house seasoning was ... it was pretty special and different. They provide plastic gloves, and "bib" to reduce the mess (I expect a bib, but the gloves were a nice detail). The liquor store is next door - so its easy to get some wine or beer to enjoy with the meal.

My family has ordered from this restaurant many times - usually through DoorDash. We really love their food - so much that I decided I wanted seafood for dinner on Mother’s Day and realized the prices are a much higher on DoorDash, so I called my order in. Among other things, I ordered a 1/2lb. of sausage and {3} corn. My daughter noticed a piece of shrimp tail in the bag with the sausage and corn. I’m highly allergic, so the sausage and corn went uneaten. By the time it was noticed, the restaurant was closed and was closed all day Monday. I just called and spoke with a woman who said she “doesn’t think the manager can do anything because there were a lot of orders on Mother’s Day”. I told her I have the time of my order, as well as pics, and she took my number but couldn’t guarantee a call back from the owner. I hate leaving bad reviews, especially when I’ve had good food and/or service before, but this is unacceptable. I wasted money on food I couldn’t eat because, if I had, I’d have ended up in the hospital. Whoever packed the order should’ve been pre careful.
