I really was hoping to be able to give five stars but the experience we had was terrible. 4 of us in my group. My husband and I got bagels and a smoothie (the last one as they started telling everyone after us no more smoothies). We got our bagels in about 15 mins. However, my daughter and her fiance waited an hour for 2 breakfast sandwiches. We were not told of a wait upon arriving as others were told after us. Everyone there waiting received their food before my daughter and fiance. The workers did not make any attempt to let them know why it was taking so long and when they would get their food. Total non communication. While sitting there for an hour waiting for their food order we saw and heard a lot. We overheard workers talking about having one oven and also heard them taking phone calls and were witnesses to what they started telling customers who came into the shop. Things happen (like an oven breaking) but a better way to approach a problem is to be upfront and tell customers why the wait is that long. Instead of saying, "it is going to be a 45 min to an hour wait is that okay?" they could have said, "one of our ovens is down so the wait today is 45 mins to an hour." If you do that then customers may give you another try because they understand the unique circumstance you have that day, but just turning people away is not a good look. There is a big problem when a bagel+ shop has a 45-60 min wait for food even when there are no visible customers inside. That is what some customers saw when they came in and we were the only ones sitting there but they were told of a crazy long wait. They turned around and walked right out the door. I doubt we will return since there are so many other good bagel/breakfast shops...

Went for the first time on Easter to get breakfast with my husband - he got the biscuits and gravy. He's a big eater and still couldn't finish the portion he got in one sitting! He's a real country fried steak man, and was excited to get another meal smothered in gravy. The Breakfast Nook did not disappoint!

We ordered at the counter and waited inside just under 10 minutes for our food. I had held off on my morning coffee to try a drink from their menu. When I saw they had a cold brew on tap, I was delighted! The establishment has a coffee bar with various creamers and sweeteners to choose from, as well as condiments, salt, and pepper for meals. Though I hadn't heard of Endgrain (I usually go for Lacas) the cold brew on tap was wonderful, and for $3.75/12oz I would definitely get it again.

I also ordered a bagel with cream cheese. When I asked for an everything bagel they informed me they only had whole wheat that day, but that was perfect for me! (My doctor instructed me to eat less white and more whole grains). I got it toasted with the cream cheese on the side. I tend not to trust anyone to know exactly how much i want on my bagel, the the amount provided was perfect!

We ate outside and enjoyed the early spring sunshine before heading out to Walmart to buy flowers for my garden.

Overall, I'm giving 4 stars, beacuse while the food was great and the building was clean and comfortable, it was just a touch pricey. In total for an order of biscuits and gravy, whole wheat everything bagel w/ side of cream cheese, and the on tap Endgrain cold brew, we spent barely under $20. That said, we plan to potentially return once a month to get breakfast during the...

Craving a delicious breakfast sandwich after a great experience on their opening weekend...I was wildly disappointed this time.

I called several times Sunday morning to no avail. Phones went straight to voicemail! I had thought they closed like all the other places that had occupied that space. I was driving by , and to my surprise, I noticed they were open!

I went inside ready to order and thought they may not know their phones were down! When I let the girl at the counter know...she said in a very monotone/uncaring voice...”oh our new policy is we don’t turn the phones on Saturday and Sunday.”

Umm is this a good business model for a restaurant that serves breakfast and is only accessible by car? Probably not! I know I have to drive a distance to get there and I’m not going to do that on a Sunday morning when there are so many other places I can eat where the people are upbeat, friendly and ANSWER THEIR PHONES.

Also, the streaming music choices that were being made on YOUTUBE music were not what I’d expect from a cute breakfast “nook”. JayZ and Kanye don’t scream cute cafe.

I’d rethink the business model if you don’t want to go the way of My Favorite Muffin. Of the 4 people I saw...three were just standing around. At least one could take orders and the others provide the good customer service that will keep you in business.

The only reason I have them 2 stars is because the food...

You've probably been driving past this place and didn't know it existed, but you're missing out on a real treat and treasure. Located on Berlin Cross keys road, nestled in a small shopping mall, next to a nail salon and a nondescript market is the Breakfast Nook. (Heavens, that's a long sentence) What a lovely treat in the middle of nowhere. We went on a Saturday morning, and were able to find a seat, but after a little while the place kind of got crowded. This is understandable for a Saturday morning. The prices are reasonable. I included a menu in the photos. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese, on a jalapeno cheddar bagel ($6.50). My friend got a steak egg and cheese on a multigrain bagel. Steak is $4 extra. So their total came to $10.50. here's the big plus. They have Endgrain coffee from Pitman! They also have a variety of pastries that you can order with your coffee. I had an iced cold brew coffee. This had a decent enough kick to help me write this review. My suggestion is to bring a book here, have some coffee and a nice breakfast sandwich, with your significant other as a starter to your day of shopping or whatever. The folks are very pleasant. You won't be sad that you chose to go here. I highly recommend this place as a little oasis of enjoyment in the middle of nowhere. 5 out of 5 definitely 😁

This place is a true hidden Gem. Please stop by and experience the relaxed atmosphere. The soundtrack in this place is amazing. I got the steak and eggs meal and my wife ordered their avocado toast. My steak was cut into strips ready to eat. They will cook your steak to your taste. It was nice and tender. My eggs were exactly as I ordered them as well. The home fries that were included in the meal were perfectly toasted on the top and edges and nice and soft in the middle topped with sauteed onions and peppers. My wife absolutely loved the avocado toast. You could tell the avocado was fresh on a toasted piece of brioche bread sprinkled with everything bagel seasoning and topped with a perfectly poached egg cooked to her liking. They have a coffee station with a great variety of creamer choices to fit your dietary needs a cooler full of juices as well. They also have a great assortment of bagels and spreads, a nice variety of doughnuts and rice crispy style treats made with different cereals. While your waiting for your fresh food you gotta check out their local artists art gallery with pieces you can purchase or just discover great art produced in NJ. This is a great date spot great atmosphere with amazingly nice employees.

Just today I stopped at the breakfast nook for my very first time. I ordered the New Jersey Benedict meal, which came with delicious hashbrowns, a nice size piece of scrapple cooked exactly the way I like it two sides of an English muffin two pieces of pork roll and three eggs with hollandaise sauce on the side. When I got home I had a little crab meat so I decided to warm that up a bit and put it on my eggs before I poured the hollandaise on top. I have to say absolutely delicious! I’m going to post a pic, but keep in mind I put the crab meat on it myself and the scrapple was so delicious that I ate it before I even took a moment to take a picture. They have a new customer in Me!! the staff was very friendly. And I must say this was enough food that I will have two meals here out of the one and just cost me a few cents over $13. Quite the bargain especially now when things are so expensive everywhere else!
