We were obligated to come try this place out because my dad passed it one day and saw the parking lot packed out. So he thought it must be really good. I read all the bad reviews and was dreading it as we drove there. Upon entering, you are taken back to a Ryan’s feel from the 90’s. Painted over wallpaper is peeling from the walls. There are water spots on the ceiling. The carpet needs replaced. Since it’s a buffet you have to pay before you eat. So there is no going back once you pay. A health rating of an 80 hung behind the cashier. The table we sat at was a combo of 2 tables shoved together, which shouldn’t be a bad thing, but the crumbs left in the crack between the 2 was. I picked food that I thought was relatively safe. A fried chicken wing, sweet potato casserole, broccoli, and a cornbread muffin. The chicken was VERY dry, the sweet potatoes would give someone “diabetus”, the broccoli was steamed so long it was limp, and the cornbread had no flavor and was slightly hard. The rest of the food looked like it either came straight from a can or was asian-inspired. Not what you expect from a “country food” place. And after we left my stomach started cramping. Worst food I ever had. DO NOT EAT HERE! I dined in with my son, daughter and boyfriend. I had passed it many times and thought I’d give it shot. Most of the sodas did not work but the worst part was the food. Nothing looked good. I TRIED to make a plate and find ANYTHING I could make do with but it was hard. The meatloaf tasted like cat food. I literally tried a bite of 3 different things and could not do it. I asked my waitress her opinion and she said she doesn’t eat there. I asked the lady in the front for a refund which she gave begrudgingly. I was honest and told her all the food was disgusting. She was offended and told me never to return. I won’t. Let me save you the experience and waste of time. There is a reason there are hardly any cars there. There is a reason you have drove past this place many times thinking you should stop, but...

If my review was based on our waitress I would give it a full 5 stars but, the overall dining experience left much to be desired. For one or was very hot in the restaurant and the poor waitress was sweating as bad as we were. The food selection was ok but most of the items that I got were cooked to death and lacked seasoning. We were served on styrofoam trays that were not very sturdy and mine cracked on the way to the table. We were given one plastic fork to eat with that was so flemsy you had to pray it would make it to your mouth. Like I said, the waitress was amazing but the rest of the experience left much to be desired and especially at $11 a plate. I couldn't even eat a full plate due to the quality of the food.
