Mark and I went to Golden corral tonight for his birthday. That was yesterday. I was happy because I never been there before we get up to the buffet. Yes the buffet ,we get to the IAlchicken and it's baked so Mark gets me a leg and I tell him to open it up before I eat plate so I called the lady over that cooks and told her it was raw. She agreed and told the young guy that does puts out the food and stuff and so they dump that and he came back with the first thing we tried it open it up a second time and it was raw too. Yes I took a picture. Well out comes the manager running her saying saying things like there ain't nothing wrong with that chicken mind you I had Mark open it up. Took a picture of it. Like I said okay. They were all the second trying and it was even Pinker than the other one. She picked up leg and says is that raw? You think that's wrong. Well, when you open up a chicken and it's bloody at the bone. Yes that's wrong and then it still has the white slimy stuff in it. What do you think? Would you eat it? After I show you a picture of it, you decide..... So after she says that there's nothing wrong with it and I tell her not. You know pick it up, bring it to me or you know just give it to me. She's waving around + keeps saying ain't nothing wrong. Ain't nothing wrong. Her name is arena. She's the manager of the cooking part and anyway so arena does this for about 2 minutes and then finally she says are you going to eat it? Are you going to eat it? They don't give it to you. I'll open it up. I said that's my complaint. That's raw chicken. All temperature sayings. So anyway, finally she walks over to the other side where the plates were and snappy like she says. Here are you. I'll give it to you. And I said doesn't matter if I eat it or not. I'm trying to tell you it's raw. Finally she decides to say nah it ain't it's okay So I see you're you know leaving it there and a young guy that cooked. I guess he's another cook comes over and I said you know that chicken's raw and he said I'm going to throw it out. Well we're sitting there and they're still back there. Talking about that chicken. They might throw it away between her and the cook woman. + She keeps hollering it ain't raw looking at me looking at me. Finally somebody gave me her name. I took a picture just so you can see who she was going. You know right? Eating that raw chicken. Would you eat? Oh yes I'd eat it but I can't. I said well then you're crazy. I'm not I've had e. Coli . the cook It's remote says well. We'll just throw it out. Mind you in the meantime, the young girl that cooked it said well. We're just going to throw it out. I'll take it home so arena says no. We're not allowed to do that. My problem is this lady comes out and starts arguing with me in public. When there's there ain't that many people. There's probably 15 people out there. Just listening to us thinking how crazy she is The reason I say they thinking how crazy is she is cuz after she walks off everybody's talking about how she's in there. Still ripping and raising you know. Trying to agitate me. Says you know I'm sorry that happened and I said well. I'm going to ask for a manager when I get ready to leave. She says I am a manager. Her name was Reagan. She's very nice. Very polite and she looked at it. She said yeah it is wrong and I said I know I said to cook agreed and the other cook or the guy. They was the only three back there that we could see. she gives us two cards to come back which I thought was really sweet because like I said yesterday was Mark's birthday and it ruined it. It was his birthday but the only thing I wanted was the chicken and that burned it for me and him and I'm very upset about. They want me to describe the food. The chicken was raw as I stated but how and however the rest of the food was awesome. I literally got a plate with shrimp, a plate with chicken, the fried deep chicken and french fries corn on cob and it was awesome while we're eating. This lady is still you know back here running her...
Read moreI couldn't give 5 stars for just one reason... I'm new to this city, but I've come to this Golden Corral twice, I really like it from my other old city, and I really liked this branch because it's organized, they constantly work to keep the floors and tables clean, there's a great variety of food as usual in Buffete restaurants and this is no exception, food is constantly supplied, most of its workers are friendly, but... I get really annoyed when the people who served the tables in the bay where I was with my family, a Hispanic gentleman and lady, I think his name was Jorge, they talked to us constantly, worried if they would help us with something else... that was very kind of them, but it was too much, they started talking with the people at other tables or with us asking personal questions, and as we were finishing, they began to complain about the tips of the people, and the salary they received in Golden Corral, which was the miserable pay and the only thing that helped them a little was the tips, and they began to give us a speech and we understood that it was to persuade us that we should leave them a good reward for their work!! and in fact we know that, and much more if we go more than 3 people we are always very grateful and we do not do it just out of habit, but because we really appreciate your work, but that was really uncomfortable for us, that's why I decided to visit another Golden Corral branch, although it didn't go well for me, I must admit that I miss this branch. If you are looking for a delicious family meal, there is a good place, but be careful with these...
Read moreWe’ve come to this location on occasion for the last six months. We thought we’d found a good GC location, but after today, we’re concerned that it’s on the downturn.
We walked in at about 3:50 - in time for the early bird senior meal. Instead of paying about $11 each, we paid $16 each—according to the cashier we were in between time—and she wouldn’t charge us for our drinks. On our way to the table, I pulled out my phone and it showed 3:59 (the price goes up at 4:00). When we looked at the receipt, it showed 4:05—so their computer clock is about 6-8 minutes fast.
Not a good start.
Several food bays were empty, although what we ate tasted good. Steaks did not start being cooked at 4:00.
After about three bites, the fire alarm started sounding. As I looked around, everyone was acting as if it was perfectly normal, so I determined that we didn’t need to rush outside.
We were there about 75 minutes and this alarm rang out 8-10 times.
I saw the manager, but he never visited tables to apologize to customers.
I feel for the servers. Our waitress was great, but I can’t imagine having to put up with the loud alarming all day!
To say the least, our meal was neither peaceful nor pleasant.
I’m not sure what’s going on with this location.
My advice is to find...
