Went to the pharmacy to pick up a medication. When I got there, I was welcomed by the pharmacy tech. She took all my information and pulled up the prescription. She informed me that they were out of the medication, and it was ordered. My follow up question was okay that's fine do you know when the medication will be in so I can come back. The tech said she needed to ask the pharmacist because she thought the medication might be on backorder. She turned to the pharmacist on duty who was in the back on the computer to ask when the medication would be in and if it was on back order. The pharmacist sighed and got an attitude, and her response was "It is ordered why does it matter if it is on backorder or not, we will just let you know when it gets here". Not quite the response I would expect when asking when a medication would be in that I needed. It very much does matter if it is on backorder, so I know if I need to make different arrangements. Bottom line I never got an answer on whether the medication was on backorder or not or when I will receive the medication needed. I didn't get her name because after that response I didn't have anything nice to say to her because she was flat out rude. I used to work in a pharmacy as a tech and I know it can be stressful. I also know that with certain medications some details cannot be released. This was not one of those medications. If I go back, I will get her name and update the review. I'm not one to really complain as I also worked in customer service, and I know what bad reviews can do to scores but this one really bothered me.
