Went on opening day and I was pleasantly surprised. Usually restaurants struggle when they first open but J1 was amazing ! Every meal tastes fresh and flavorful. Even my kids ate everything they ordered. We will definitely be returning. One of the best food spots in Monroe !!

My wife and had a great meal at J1 Sushi and Japanese Kitchen. They did a great job with the decor, and the food was excellent. Whoever does the Tempura appetizers really knows what they are doing. so glad this place opened in town. great food all around but loved the pad thai and sushi. We marked a gluten free allergy in our order and they took the extra step to call us and make sure we were okay with the crab meat in the sushi. Friendly and polite staff. We ordered take out but can't wait to go back...
