Unfortunately, even as a semi returning customer (we’ve been coming periodically over many years), I have to ding this place because of how it’s managed and the wait. Just way too long. Today I came in, there were 4 workers and only 2 people in line in front of me. Not sure why but it took a good 8-10 minutes for me to get called on. Not sure why 2 people in a line would take that long. Second, after the kid took my order instead of having someone start it, he took the next persons order, which seemed to take about 3 minute (large order?). 3/4 minutes after that he came and told me one of the ingredients for my sandwich was out of stock. So I gave him an alternative. I then noticed that the item they said was out of stock was right there in the showcase. Not a big deal.

Then another 10 minute wait to get what was essentially a grilled turkey and cheese.

In the end, I left the shop 30+ minutes later, when it wasn’t crowded, and they had 4 workers, for just a single panini.

To be honest, it always takes 20-30 mins to Get an order here. Which is one of the main reasons we only go once in a while.

The food itself is always very good. Kudos on the quality, and I don’t mind a little wait, but between the mismanaged staff and the absurdly long waits, it’s going to keep people coming back less. Just a reality. The owner may be fine with it.

The other thing I would say is that if a similar business opened in this area that had an actual seating area, they would likely kill it, and especially in the winter. It’s essentially a to go only shop.

3/5 starts for great food, and...

URGENT WARNING: Unsafe for Individuals with Celiac Disease

I strongly advise against dining at this establishment. As someone with Celiac Disease, I trusted this restaurant to handle gluten-free (GF) requests appropriately. When placing my order, I specifically asked for the “Thyme After Thyme” sandwich to be made GF on GF bread and requested a glove change due to my condition. They agreed to these precautions.

Upon consuming the meal, I experienced severe symptoms indicative of gluten exposure. Concerned, I called the restaurant to verify if the chicken cutlet was GF. I was informed by a staff member that it was not GF and that they were too busy to address my concern. The manager, Ron, then rudely admonished me, stating, "educate yourself on gluten because cutlets aren’t gluten-free," and "guess what - people order GF soup and get crackers with it." He was arguing with me, yelling at me.

I have dined at numerous restaurants that offer GF chicken cutlets. This establishment should have informed me that their cutlets are not GF and offered a safe alternative (grilled chicken), especially after I specified my Celiac Disease. The management displayed gross unprofessionalism, and the staff lacks essential knowledge about food safety and gluten cross-contamination.

This restaurant poses a significant health risk for individuals with gluten allergies. Immediate education on professionalism, food safety, and proper handling of GF requests is URGENTLY needed. I am truly disgusted with the...

The girl who served me was very nice. She gave me something I did not order however.... After sitting down to eat I simple said this isn't what I ordered and she said well that is what we have (We don't have what you wanted)? I said well I either need a refund or I need something else...she went in the back and that is when the owner came out hot. Total douche. He was not even present and wanted to argue with me about what was said. Whatever. I guess it is more important that you be forced to pay for what they give vs what you wanted? Also 10.75 plus tax for egg salad on toast? There is a reason there are no prices on their drawings of their items total rip off! With all the new food choices coming to monroe you would think they would put customers first not inflated egos. It was a simple fix. I did not make the mistake. If they didn't have what you order it is probably a good idea to let people know you are giving them something else? No? Whatever.. avoid this over priced place.

Added: Read other reviews seems like the owner needs anger management. It was only a sandwich for crying out loud. You lost my business for...

ST hits the spot on a mild chilly day w/that perfect combo of soup & a sammich. And for what they offer they execute at a commendable level. It's a small space tucked away in a little strip but the basic deli vibes are unmistakable havin the large counter and a laundry list of favorite combos plastered on the wall. There isn't much walking/seating space so expect to eat in your car or take n go most often. The sandwiches vary in a great selection and offer high quality ingredients that taste fresh, been here a few times and havnt been disappointed. Their main attraction is the variety between soup & sandwich you can visit here 100k+ times n not get the same combo. Really amazing to pump out that many options and maintain em across the board. Some are more a hit than others but all are worth taking a chance on. Def recommend swinging by when a warm up is in order.

Great soup!! I got the minestrone and it had like 7 different veggies in it. They have a special also half a panini and small soup for 7.95. It is good but you can make it at home. We ordered the thyme frame. It was delicious deli meat ham, turkey, melted swiss, with honey mustard on warm golden toasted bread. This place is very busy! I suggest calling in your order so you can by pass the long line and go straight to the call in counter. We will be back if in the area. I can not stress how good the soups are!!! They offer a wide variety that changes often. Friendly counter staff.

This is the Soup lovers dream... So many soups on hand, you'll get dizzy. The "Soup of the day" is usually at least 16 different choices, and then there is the sandwich board... They have about 30 different sandwiches and paninis to choose from. You'll have to get there a half hour early just to make up your mind with all these choices! The food is excellent... Closed Sunday, they take credit cards.
