Peking Tokyo — Restaurant in Monroe

I visited once and thought most of the food was good, although only the California roll had any taste to it out of the sushi.

I ordered a couple meals for my son and I another night reading directly off of a website for their business that contains their menu. It is a third-party site but with Peking-Tokyo’s menu and contact information. I decided to call the restaurant and order directly because of food allergies.

I wasn’t feeling great that night, so I sent in my son to pick up the food and pay and didn’t look at the receipt or contents of the bags until we were home—big mistake!

We were short a whole dinner AND the price reflected what the total should have been, minus a couple dollars, with the missing meal.

I promptly called and explained the problem fully expecting an apology and offer to provide that meal. Instead I was met with a rude and dismissive owner, the woman who is typically behind the counter, who claimed that I had only ordered one of the meals even though I explicitly stated twice to the man taking the order that I was ordering two. Then she had the nerve to tell me that they’ve raised their prices and that I was appropriately charged. I’m sitting there with the menu in front of me reading the prices to her, and she’s telling me that they’re outdated and the restaurant has no responsibility to honor what’s actively being advertised for them. We ended with me saying that I would not be patronizing them again, and I was once more rudely dismissed and told to take my business elsewhere.

It is sad when you have dishonest business owners who are rude to their customers, and I will indeed be taking my business elsewhere in the many...

Since discovering them about a year ago, I've been eating here at LEAST once a week (except during their brief pandemic close). Peking Tokyo's food is simply addicting. Everything I've gotten from here is good, from the salads, the sushi, to the ribs, entree dinners, and more. Their food is so good that it makes me brave enough to try new things on the menu. Two weeks ago I tried Beef Egg Foo Young for the first time and, oh my god, I've gotten it 6 times since. Guys, this place is legit. Friendly staff, fast service, and amazing food. I'm a loyal customer without a doubt.

We'll be back! First time customer...couldn't resist the aromas as we headed for BigY! So we had no idea about Peking Tokyo and the 2 chicken dishes we ordered were OUTSTANDING. We thought our regular go-to for Chinese take-out was pretty good...Peking Tokyo is better than "pretty good"!
