Update regarding an order on sept. 3, 2023- one of the “can’t mess it up” orders I get from wendy’s is the Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Congrats guys, y’all managed to bungle that one too. My partner waited for fresh grilled chicken (not by request, y’all just ran out apparently around 8:30p) and yet when I got the salad not 8 minutes later all the chicken was cold… and most was chewy. Meaning it was not all the way cooked. Remind whoever is on grill that it needs to be allowed to not only heat up and stay hot by keeping the lid down, but that the grilled chicken gets cooked under those silly little metal lids, and for the full… I believe it was about 6min? 6 min and 45 seconds? Forgive me it has been years, but regardless that is what those timers are for! Knowing when something is actually done cooking, you set the timer right after the food has been put in the oil/on the grill and covered. Not before. Undercooked chicken chewy is a different chewy from “cheap from the freezer” chewy.
Either I am just unlucky, or this place needs better management/ownership.
Looks beautiful from the outside and in the dining room.
But I worked at 3 different Wendy’s for roughly 4 years, and none of them had issues like this one.
Regularly there are little mistakes, but it’s honestly every single visit there is something or another. Forgotten items that you paid for is common, but since the dining room is almost always closed and there is only one narrow lane for the drive thru, you have to thoroughly check your bags at the window (which, if you didn’t know, ruins their line-time which often leaves underpaid employees getting ragged on, so I personally always hate having to do that) which is the most common issue, but also things like straws, sauce, forks, etc.
The employees themselves are great- still kind and respectful even when they are CLEARLY feeling overwhelmed/frustrated, happy to help and fix things, which is why I am firm in my following statement- this is NOT an employee issue.
It seems like management is not ensuring that the employees have the tools to succeed- in positions that suit their existing skills, working with each employee in a way that works for their learning type to help them become more well-rounded over time, scheduling strategically so that there is a good team working together who’s strengths and weaknesses compliment each other for an amazing team, etc.
Plus… I have to wonder if a lot of their money went towards remodeling because on multiple occasions food has simply tasted… off. Not like it has gone bad, but… like it is certainly close, or getting close.
Or maybe it is a corporate thing- cutting corners to save costs and quality is suffering.
All I know is that no matter how much Wendy’s is a “comfort food” for me… I have to remember that unfortunately this location just isn’t a...
Read moreI went through drive-thru around 11:30 pm. When I arrived I was the 2nd car in line. I waited for about 5 minutes in the same spot. The car in front of me ended up pulling away due to no one taking their order. When I pulled up to the speaker she immediately asked what she could get for me. I was unsure at the time and she presumed to catch a really nasty attitude. I ordered $30 worth of food. For my self and 2 others. After ordering both individuals asked was I still going to be serviced here because of her gloomy attitude. I was so hungry so I decided why not. Unfortunately that should have been my first red flag. When I arrived to the window the transaction was normal. The lady in the window attitude was not bad but you could tell that she was a little irritated. She did “jokingly” say “ on me I’m not taking no more orders tonight we’re closed” with the drive-thur window open and the line building up outside. When I received my food I did check the bag for my sauce and I did noticed that I did not receive a fork. I ordered chili cheese fries and typically it should come with a fork in the bag. So I sat and waited on her to come back to ask for a fork. It did not take long for her to come back but when I asked for the fork she and a few others employee were looking out the window as if I was asking for free food. Once I left I did check the actual food in the bag. The combo I ordered for myself was a 10 piece chicken nugget combo and a side of chili cheese fries. I received a 7 piece chicken nugget combo with shredded cheese fries. The nuggets were thrown in the bag and ALL the food was cold. Now I did not go back simply because of how bad her attitude was. I just preferred to speak with their manager in the morning. I stayed calm the entire process although I was very disappointed in this service. I thought that I would be able to speak with someone in the morning but unfortunately no one has answered any of my call. Corporate is...
Read moreI have waited to make a review on this place in anticipation of it getting better. Every time, I am left with the same question: Why did I do this to myself again?. When using the app, the info is never correct regarding if you can pick it up inside due to the doors being locked. The curbside has never worked. The drive thru literally works one car at a time from the mic to them handing the food through the window. I don't understand a drive thru taking one order at a time... It makes the wait 15-30 minutes and when you're in the drive thru, you're trapped... There's no getting out if you decide it's not worth the wait. When you do get to the mic, your greeted with a curt "take your order"... Mention you have an online order and that's met with a "drive around". I went inside on my last visit and found that the workers look so sad and there was ZERO communication between them. I asked a young lady about the atmosphere and was told - "you know fast food... These people are here for the paycheck".
Getting fast food used to be a good experience, when exciting due to not having to cook for yourself... But to be met with such rude customer service, rare correct orders and super slow wait times, it deflates the happiness of going to a place to spend your money. I have actually traveled to the Indian trail Wendy's to avoid this one. I blame it on management or ownership. Their people should not be this depressed to work at this place as it trickles down to the paying customer.
Please put customer service training in place and pay the employees their worth so that the customers can experience a good meal at a place that's not a...
