I must say that if you are in need of a caring, professional and customer focused computer service, this is the place to contact! Don and his staff truly "go the extra mile" for their customers. Perhaps you need virtual telephone support? If you do, call PC Guru and any member of the staff will talk you through your computer issue with patience and kindness. I am fortunate to be involved with this company and I suggest you take a serious look at contacting them the next time you have a computer problem. You will not be put on hold.....(as so many places do) or are you asked to leave a voice mail...you literally reach a live voice every time you call!
Consistency is the word that I want to use when I think of PCGuru. The staff consistently provides their expert telephone support and guidance, no matter whether it is on a busy Friday afternoon or an early morning, if you have a computer issue that needs attending to, they will talk you through it. I continue to appreciate my association with PC Guru, and look forward to this beneficial business relationship. This is a family run business and we as customers benefit from their work ethic, professionialism and always consistent customer service.
I have to add at this time how much I continue to appreciate PCGuru and their staff for remaining totally on target with their customer service. You know you have probably experienced businesses that start out with great efforts that only taper off over time. This is not true with PCGuru. They started out providing "lights out" customer service and remain doing so. If you are discouraged with your technical support, please call PC Guru and find out what I am talking about.
How often is it that a company owner takes time out of his busy day to sort through a technical issue ? I can tell you it's been my experience that company owners, CEO's, Directors, Managers would prefer to hand off a customer's problem instead of dealing with it directly. You will find that PCGuru's Owner will take extra time out of his day to settle a computer problem for you and make sure that you understand the complexities of the issues involved. I am fortunate to have the Owner and the entire staff at PCGuru supporting me through my maze of technical experiences and issues ...
Read moreWould not recommend. About a year ago (+/-) when Microsoft quit supporting Windows 7 I took my computer to PC Guru to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. The computer was in great condition, no problems, just needed the upgrade. I wanted to make sure it was done right so decided I pay a professional to do it rather than risk doing it myself. My computer has been a wreck ever since. I can be using the computer and the screen turns completely blue with an error message that the computer has experienced a problem and is shutting down. Sometimes I can reboot and it works fine for a while; other times I just have to manually turn off (not shut down but turn off the power) and come back later and try again. I took the computer back to PC Guru twice but they have not been able to fix it. After 2 trips back I finally just gave up and started using another computer since this one is no longer reliable. Plus the owner (I think his name is Don) is not a very pleasant person and the other employees there act like they are afraid of him. I won't be going back there . Edit 11/30/2020 Based on owner's response to original review. I won't be bringing the computer back in because I have no confidence you can fix it and I'm not gonna waste any more time. You already had it 3 times : 12/2/2019, 12/18/2019 and 1/15/2020 at a total cost to me of $464.03 (plus another charge of $71.82 that you waived out of embarrassment I guess). I have no idea where you got the idea that I "loved" what you did to my computer. Quite the contrary, I think you ruined it. The computer was custom built for me and was working fine when I first brought it in on 12/2/2019 for the Windows 7 to Windows 10 upgrade. Your employee actually commented on what a great and fast computer it was. You recommended adding an additional Hard Drive and 2 additional fans. Plus you said you needed to reseat the CPU with thermal paste. That's when the trouble started and it has been a wreck ever since. Fortunately I have other computers and at some point I'll find someone who's able to repair the one...
Read moreWorst experience ever. Do not use PC Guru. Matt took in my computer to assess what was wrong and I paid with the word from him that the money I paid to have it assessed would be taken off of the charges to have it fixed. He called me back stating that his manager would not allow him to have the money I paid taken off of repairs. Then when I picked up my computer he lied again stating he never told me the money would come off of repairs which he told both me and my husband. He also stated that they could not recover data from my computer and recommend another place in Charlotte since they weren't capable of doing recovering data. How is this place called PC Guru when they can't even recover data? Do not use this place they lie and can't even complete all computer work. I will never waste my time or money at this place and do not recommend it to anyone since they have liars working there. I even contacted the manager to no avail and no reply on his lying worker named Matt. I will take my business elsewhere and recommend everyone else I know so the same.
Wow! Only took someone 9 months to reply to my negative review. Very punctual response. And only lies as a response that “witnessed by me”??? Who is me??? Only Matt was working at the front when I dropped off my computer. Just further proves my point. Very shady...
