Today was hands down my worst customer experience ever. I’ve never been spoken to so poorly by anyone in a service job. Ordered a large meal, happy meal, and a separate large drink and mcchicken. Get to the second window, wait about 4-5 minutes with no one there. A lady finally appears and says they’re waiting on my food. Great. She comes back and hands me one large drink, one medium. I pause, as I knew I ordered two large drinks. When I told her they both should have been large, “well it’s exactly what you ordered, it prints out exact”. “….ok but I ordered a large.” She argues with me more, asking what did my receipt say. I wasn’t given a receipt. She hands me two straws, walks away and returns with a plethora of receipts. Tells me we didn’t order two large drinks. I look at the receipt, it said “md-lg” on it. I don’t know what that’s supposed to mean but she reiterates again after I tell her it was supposed to be large “well it says medium, that’s what you ordered.” She rattles off my order in shorthand, and it confused me , so I said back to her what my order was and she says “yeah, that’s what I said” with condescension dripping in her tone. At this point, I’m sick of arguing with a grown woman when she clearly isn’t interested in making this right for me. I tell her “you know what, never mind” and ask her for a third straw (for my 5 year olds happy meal, so she won’t spill the chocolate milk), and she has the AUDACITY to tell me “I already gave you two straws”. I left this place fuming and in complete disbelief that this woman treated me like I was a complete idiot. Wasn’t willing to fix the mistake. (Which I gladly would have paid the difference for.) And continued to argue with me on basic things like a straw. I will NOT be visiting this location ever again. Horrible service. If anyone from McDonald’s sees this, I was there Sat 9/30 around 4 o’clock; whoever you had working the second window needs a serious lesson in interpersonal communication and how customer...
Read moreIf it ain't broke, don't fix it. This store has implemented a new system I've never seen at a McDonald's before: they give you a number with your order and then bring you your food. I used the kiosk to order, and then had to go up front for my cup, even though I ordered an flavor of beverage, so I could have just been brought up with my meal. Then when my meal was brought to me, it was another patrons meal, that I didn't realize wasn't mine till I had touched some of the food already. So the staff came out, took it back and gave me the meal I had ordered. I am assuming they were just gonna throw it away, so just seems wasteful at that point. Oddly enough, when they just called out your number and you grabbed your stuff at the counter, LIKE EVERY OTHER FAST FOOD RESTAURANT, I never had this issue. Please, just go back. It's McDonald's: not some quasi-fancy restaurant. This is dumb.
Update: haven't been back here since my previous review 5 years ago, but my wife was out and asked if I wanted anything. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese mcgriddle, but what I got was a mcmuffin, a burrito, and hash brown. There's a reason I ordered what I did, and it's because THAT'S WHAT I WANTED! This...
Read moreI rarely visit McDonald's or any fast food restaurant but when in the mood for a frappe, I started going to the northern pike location. I felt as though the service was great, the food was fresh, and I didn't have any issues. I'm assuming that McDonald's has hired employees that don't know how to keep their miserable lives separate from their job lives. I was picking up 3 different orders and one order was specific on the type of sauce which was BBQ and sweet and sour. I get one of the orders and the sauce I asked for isn't there but there's honey mustard. I asked for the sauce and I'm told again, it's in the bag. I give them the bag so they can see that there wasn't sweet and sour sauce in their. This rude individual starts cursing up a storm and decides to just take more honey mustard and throws it in the bag. I didn't even bother any more after the point nor did I stepped down to this individuals level. I don't understand why get a job in this field where customer service is important if you don't want to work with people. Stay and work from home or get a job where you don't have to physically offer...
