This location is fairly new and we visited at about 7:45 pm. The girl at register was polite and answered questions moderately well, though she had trouble with more specific questions (for example, another guest asked her what edamame was and ahe didn't really know). We (2 people) ordered to eat in, though the place is clearly geared more for take out. Only a few small tables are available. Food took a long time to come out: 21 minutes! Which was a surprise for food that is mostly pre-produced (as was fairly obvious here). Priority was definitely on pick up orders. Food quality was low. I'd eat mall food court teriyaki before I eat this again. I got the spicy teriyaki chicken with rice & veggies & my companion got the basic teriyaki chicken. Spicy Teriyaki definitely spicy. A good heat level but there was little actual flavor. It tasted like straight Sriracha. All teriyaki flavor was lost and there was no umami or sweetness. Since there is Sriracha on the table, you'd probably be better served to get regular and mix in your own spice-level. The regular teriyaki also lacked flavor, tasting mostly of char rather than teriyaki. The rice was dry and had a mealy texture. It was clearly both overcooked and old. The veggies were the best part. They were not oversteamed and still retained slight crispness. However, they were rather tastless as no sauce was poored over them. All the sauce was on the chicken and that was not enough to distribute well into the rest of the dish. We had eggrolls for our side. They were fine. I liked that a ponzu-style sauce was included for them. As for drinks, basic pepsi products were available and sweet and unsweet tea on the menu. However, my companion tells me the Dr Pepper mix was watery. Of the tea, only a container labled "unsweet" was working and it was actually full of sweet tea. Also, tea had been spilled across all the straws, making them dirty. Straws were poorly stored directly under the tea containers, making this contamination inevitable. The trash was also full to overflowing (and contained a Chick-fil-A bag that had wedged the trash container open, so it seems even your employees don't prefer your food). All-in-all, not an experience I'd recommend, and we won't...
Read moreThis is like the mall food teriyaki but with more choices for flavors and sides.
The chicken was grilled so perfectly! I love that char on the meat. The meat is very flavorful. It is thigh meat but was tender and juicy with good flavor. White meat is an option on the menu too I see. One party in my group got spicy orange chicken and was given the option of fried or grilled which was great to have that grilled option for health.
The white rice was cooked to perfection.
The veggies are steamed like and mostly cabbage but you can request only broccoli (an up charge) which one in my party did. The veggies taste off though, like they’re soaking up natural gas. I won’t get those anymore.
The fried rice and noodles are good but are an up charge. You can get it with veggies, or not.
They were out of edamame today so we got egg rolls and a drink to make the regular bowl a combo.
The sauce that comes with the meal is good too.
They advertise not using MSG in any of their food which is great for us.
The restaurant is very tiny and narrow. A line out the door at busy times as the ordering area is very small. The staff were friendly and were getting orders out quickly. Lots of employees in the kitchen getting orders completed.
I’ll definitely go...
Read moreWe were really looking forward to visiting this new location, as we’ve had great experiences at other branches, but unfortunately, this one was extremely disappointing.
When we arrived, several staff members were visibly unprofessional: gossiping loudly at the front, doing makeup in customer view, and stepping out for personal errands while service lagged. Despite what appeared to be a full kitchen staff, only two employees seemed to be actively working.
After waiting over 30 minutes, we were told that multiple items from our order were missing. What we did receive was incorrect and overcooked, a few were burnt, and not a single part of the meal met expectations.
It was honestly hard to tell who was in charge, as several team members appeared disoriented, inattentive, and (in some cases) possibly under the influence.
I don’t normally leave negative reviews, but the experience was disappointing enough that I felt it should be brought to your attention. This location does not reflect the standards we’ve come to expect from your brand.
We hope management takes steps to ensure better training, professionalism, and oversight moving forward. As it stands now, I would not recommend this...
