Store Manager Sam is very unprofessional with her employees. Managers under her are allowed to threaten employees in front of sitting customers. There is a big difference in a boss and a leader. A boss manages their employees, while a leader inspires them to innovate, think creatively, and strive for perfection. Every team has a boss, but what people need is a leader who will help them achieve greatness. At this store there are threats and constant write ups. No inspiration or positivity. Management needs to be let go and maybe this store can start to grow into something great again. Until then they will no longer get my service. Friends and family agree.
Please be aware of the stress these waitresses are put through on a daily. These waitresses work under management such as Sam and Emily that belittle the staff on a regular. They both are verbally and emotionally abusive and think running this store on fear will make the store run better. The types of interactions that occur between management vs employees are not collaborative they are confrontational, they are not supportive they are threatening. This Waffle House needs to make culture in the workplace as important as your business strategy. It’s too significant to ignore, and shaping it is one of your most important responsibilities as leaders. Having Emily thinking its ok to threaten these waitresses to get her way makes me second guess what kind of leaders Waffle House looks for. Sam's no better talking to her employees like they just don't matter and their voice isn't important and that's not ok. The way your leaders communicate and interact with employees builds the culture of this store. These managers do not empower employees to make decisions, nor make their employees feel supported when interacting with them. This staff was recently told that they can try to go above managements heads, but no one will care about what they have to say. They also could care less about work/life balance. They expect you to be 100% about the company and have very little interest in your own mental health or well being. They don't care if you sleep, eat, or have a family life. The verbal and emotional abuse this staff goes through needs to be taken seriously.
If management had a positive workplace they would attract better talent, as well as impact happiness and satisfaction in the store, which in turn affects performance of the store. The personality of your business is influenced by leadership in the workplace. Poor leadership leads to poor store performance with unhappy staff as well as unhappy customers.

The eccentric chick with the slaughtered pigs for lipstick, that loves animals and doesn't know anything about them was extremely rude and put me down in front of all of the customers, and I could have scold her but again I'm trying to be a nice person. She was obviously in her feelings, and it's okay to have feelings, but feelings don't make what you say correct. I found my own pet store, I've been a successful breeder, and I've had inventory from some of the highest names in the horticultural hobby. I know for a fact that she doesn't know what she's talking about. I'm not saying to fire her because one were in the holiday season, and two she's going to be like that for life, she's going to need a job! I'm just saying if you could pull her aside and teach her a few things about professionalism and how to hold your tongue even if you don't agree or like something. Read moreWe normally have a really good experience here. Today was DEFINITELY an exception. We ordered our drinks, which took about 15 minutes to reach our table... ok, cool. Then we ordered, or at least I thought we did. My husband ordered scrambled eggs with jalepenos IN the eggs, hashbrowns, biscuits and gravy, a side of sausage, and a waffle. I ordered scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and a side of bacon. After about 20 minutes, and our drinks empty, the waitress finally showed up with the same exact meal for both of us... scrambled eggs, toast, and hashbrowns... what!!? Ok, so we then proceeded to tell her the correct order. We watched her dump cold jalepenos on top of my husband's eggs and scrape the cold scrambled eggs off of the other plate onto a new plate for me. Then she brought over our biscuits and gravy with 2 sides of bacon (our order was one side of bacon, one side of sausage). Still missing the waffle (which I reminded her about TWICE), never got the waffle, never got a refill on our drinks the whole 40 minutes we were there. We had to go to the counter for our ticket because she NEVER came back. We will not be returning, I highly suggest you choose another location even if you have to drive further.
