Great American Cookies and Marble Slab Creamery at Chambers Town Center — Local services in Mont Belvieu

Not sure how this store has received a 4.5 review. They have the worst customer and reliability service possible. The first time I ordered an ice cream cake for my husband 1 week in advance. Stopped by the store and ordered/paid etc. Went to pick it up and it wasn’t made. They said the girl didn’t come in to work that makes the cakes. I wasn’t scheduled to pick up the cake until the evening so they had ALL day to tell me no one could make the cake. Wasn’t until I got there to pick it up did I find out. Secondly, the owner Shayan Khawaja would never return my phone call about getting a refund or apologizing…really? I had to call my credit card to reverse the charges from them. Then we tried them again and ordered a cake 2 days in advance. Went to pick it up at the time we discussed and again no cake. My husband was told “oh I was just about to call you, we don’t have any butter pecan ice cream….Really? You just realized that at the time the cake was to be picked up? Thank goodness both of these times were for adults and not for a child’s birthday party. This is the worst place ever. Maybe the cookie portion of this business will keep them afloat but I will never come back here again and hope they close down. Maybe then Shayan Khawaja will see how...

I am quite new in this town . I have really tried to adapt to the newness of the place, I think that new businesses and recreation areas are necessary for families that are here with children but working. When I found this ice cream place my family and I were happy! we are ice cream lovers, but there have been enough bad experiences already in this place , from few employees serving a lot of customers with a big line waiting! To ice cream waste because the freezers were not working, or running out of a simple vanilla ice cream! And the last thing tonight there were no cones !!! So form the entire family I was going to be the only one ordering, but To top it off I ordered a small vanilla milkshake and they were going to give me three quarters of a glass and they asked me if I wanted whipped cream? Are you serious! I told them you know what I don't want the shake! it's not even full glass for what you are going to charge you always have a problems here . It’s very disappointing but on my side I think I’m already give a lots of chances to this place and yes I am probably one single costumer but I’m sure there’s a lot much more out there trying to look to a better place where to be able to sit and enjoy one a...

First, Let me start by saying I usually don't write negative reviews. But this was definitely a ball drop for Marble Slab.

Put in my order for an ice cream cake, Almost a week in advance (12-22-24). I receive a text message about 52 minutes before the pick up time on the day it's supposed to be ready (today 12-27-24); the txt reads, "We sincerely apologize, but due to an issue with our freezer, your cake will not be ready today. We would be happy to offer you a refund or provide a cookie cake as an alternative.

I had already arrived, so I go in and speak to one of the employees and she notifies me that they apparently lost power on Christmas (wednesday). I understand that but at the same time, Christmas was 2 days ago (it's now Friday) and why am I just now being notified that you cannot fulfil my order (scheduled for 12:00 pick-up)?
