This is a review about the male manager and male server. Both need lots of training in punctuality and attentiveness.
We enter, sit down and we let the server know we'd like 4 waters. 20 minutes and a few customers later, my wife calls the manager over and asks if we can get our waters because we have been waiting for 20 minutes and the customers after us have recieved their drinks. He apologizes and takes our order. 10 minutes later, still no waters. A few minutes later, a couple enters, sits down, server takes their drink order and gets their drinks. A tea and a soft drink. And we still haven't recieved our waters. I tell my family it's time to go. I walk up to the counter and inform the manager to cancel our order. He looks at me, points to the kitchen and tells me my order is almost ready. I inform him the last couple that entered recieved their drink order before us, that we have been waiting for well over 25 minutes and we still haven't recieved our waters. I again tell him to cancel our orders and walk out.
The establishment is clean and the food is good considering there's no competition in the area but when the female manager and the female server are working, both are very punctual and attentive.
FYI, we went to shogun's and recieved our drink and food orders in less time than the entire time we were at this...
Read moreWe have been coming to this establishment since they first opened, with excellent service. Havenât been here in a while, except today. Service was very childish. Appeared to have X 3 teenagers running the restaurant. We first had all three inquire what our drinks would be. Then a young man came in and drew the attention of our first waitress. We were waited on by the other two, when we received our meal, the music was repeated pop music. My son asked if they could change the trac? The young female waitress stated yeah. It was changed to a more repeated pop trac. As I watched the first waitress talk to the young man, the waiter came by and asked my son if there was anything else he could help him with, never asked me, and left. When he came back to the table he made sure to place the ticket next to me and left without saying anything. I grabbed the ticket and when I went to pay for our meal, the male waiter was grinning and looking at the female waitress, who was grinning back at him. I marked out the tip, and said you two think this is funny. He grinned and said what, and looked at the female waitress who was grinning back at him. I told him I would not be back to this establishment. Grow up and hire grownups to run your establishment! I didnât pay to entertain these...
Read moreWhen I first moved to Baytown, this place was decent, not the best Vietnamese restaurant but for the location where I was at, I considered it my "go to" Viet restaurant. I ordered the same things over and over as I am not comfortable venturing out of my comfort zone with Vietnamese food once I have found what is good at a specific restaurant. The pho has gotten bland over time, the broth tasted straight up water and salt, no flavor, and the color of the soup was just black. At least that was my experience 2 weeks ago. I had pho from Pho House before, it wasn't anything great but at least it still had flavor. This time it was bad! My kids are not Vietnamese and they even commented: this soup tasted weird, not like before! I didn't believe them so I tried to taste the soup. Yup, bad!
That was for my kids. I ordered grilled pork vermicelli. Nope, no flavor, just bland. Talking about paying a fortune for the food just to not be happy with the quality. I ordered 4 pho, 1 vermicelli, and the cost was around $78, so roughly $15 a dish. I don't mind paying for good food but I have a problem paying for overpriced tasteless food.
Would not go back there anytime...
