“The Pie Store” is an absolute gem! If you haven’t been, you’re seriously missing out on a slice of heaven—pun totally intended. Every time I walk in, I’m hit with the warm, comforting aroma of freshly baked pies, and I know I’m about to experience something special.
Their chicken pie is a revelation—savory, perfectly seasoned, and packed with tender, flavorful chicken wrapped in a golden, flaky crust that’s sheer perfection. It’s the ultimate comfort food, whether you’re having it for lunch, dinner, or just because you want something amazing.
And don’t get me started on their apple pie. It’s everything you dream an apple pie should be—sweet, tangy apples, a touch of cinnamon, and a buttery, crumbly crust that melts in your mouth. It’s the kind of pie that feels like a warm hug on a crisp day. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and you’re in dessert heaven.
But the real showstopper? Their turkey pie, which is available only around Thanksgiving and Christmas. It’s a holiday miracle in pie form! Imagine tender turkey, rich gravy, and just the right mix of veggies all encased in that legendary crust. It’s like they’ve bottled up all the holiday joy and baked it into a pie. I literally count down the days until the holiday season just so I can snag one (or five).
The Pie Store isn’t just about the pies, though. The staff is always friendly, and you can tell they put so much love into every single thing they make. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like part of the family, and honestly, I can’t recommend it enough. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or picking up a feast for the holidays, “The Pie Store” never disappoints. It’s hands down my favorite pie spot, and I’ll be a loyal...

I had ONE conversation, as outlined in my initial review below. How appalling of you to fabricate a conversation that never took place, in order to cover up your inability to handle a negative review. Surely you must realise that having an online presence means you must learn to handle the good with the bad. It would appear that the 'poison' you refer to is entirely your own.
INITIAL REVIEW: A longtime customer and fan, I was utterly shocked by the rudeness I experienced from Samantha, the owner. I had driven from Jersey City, but due to traffic delays, I arrived 20 minutes after closing time. But, because I could see that Samantha was still inside the store, I called to see if she might be willing to let me make a purchase. While I didn't expect her to do so, since I arrived after closing time, I didn't expect her attitude. Samantha answered the phone, I explained how far I had driven and asked if there was any chance I could purchase one item I needed. Her response was "I don't even know why I picked up the phone. What do you need to buy?" I let her know what I needed and her response...." no, we are SO closed". Again, I realize she didn't owe it to me to let me in to the store, given my lateness. However, there was no need for her rudeness or leading me on by asking what I wanted and then shutting the conversation down. That's not the way to treat your customers. Taking my business elsewhere, as are several of my other Brit expat friends who are...
Read moreShort version: Go here, buy a savory pie or three, take them home, eat them. You're welcome. If you say "pie" in the U.S., most people would think "apple" or "pumpkin". If you're from New Jersey, you might also think "pizza", but maybe that's just us. If you've never tried or even heard of a savory pie, I highly recommend you change that soon by coming here. Might I suggest my favorite, the Steak, Ale, & Mushroom pie? The thick, beer-infused gravy in this one is just amazing. Or the Turkey & Stuffing pie (possibly seasonal), which is like Thanksgiving dinner all baked into one delicious dish, complete with cranberries. The real star of the show in all of these pies is the crust. It's thick and flaky and gives a wonderful flavor to all the goodies baked within, no matter the filling. Plus it makes a great delivery vehicle. You'll use it to scoop up the last of your ale gravy, or top a cranberry-soaked piece with some turkey, or sop up the last of your cheese, potato, and onion filling with it. It's just great. There are lots of pasties and rolls, too, which are hand-held versions. The Lamb & Feta is newly discovered for me and is now on my "must buy" list, while the seasonal Sweet Potato, Blue Cheese, and Onion is a long-time favorite. Of the sweet pies, I've only had a berry pie and the Key Lime pie and have quite enjoyed both. In fact, I have not had a pie here that I didn't like. While you're there, pick up some other British goodies, as well - candy, chocolates, potato crisps (chips), jams, canned goods, etc. Definitely worth...
