Don’t bring your belongings here to sell. My girlfriend brought 4 items. 2 of them they couldn’t authenticate which another company had no problem authenticating soon after. The other 2 items were bags that sold. My girlfriend asked them to mail the checks to us. The owner claims the checks got “lost” in the mail. My place has a secure mailbox and my family has been in this apartment for over 16 years with 0 incidences when it comes to mail arriving. The owner claimed they had no photos, proof, or tracking information of the checks to provide which is extremely unprofessional. They charged $70 to issue new checks. They also charged a hidden fee of $20 for the items they could not authenticate after specifically telling us that we would not be charged for that. The woman Arlene is a scam artist. Please do not bring your belongings here to get scammed.

In reply to the owners comment. She knows what she did and I know what she did. It was extremely unprofessional, immoral, and flat out wrong. It’s not the right way to do business. I just today received a package in the mail from Cedar Grove. It appears the Cedar Grove post office has no problem mailing items to my address. The package came with tracking, photos, and the contents were worth less than what you owed us. I’ve attached a photo keeping exact addresses out of it. If I can help just one person not take their belongings here to get scammed then I’d feel I’ve done...

As someone who lives in Montclair and a supporter of local, small business, I have consigned at One Savvy Design for years. Arlene (the owner) has sold Chanel (5 purses), Gucci, Burberry, Jimmy Choo etc. on my behalf and has provided professional, seamless transactions. I have also purchased many luxury items from Arlene and have never encountered misrepresentation with authenticity (something many worry about when purchasing consigned luxury goods). I authenticate all of my resale purchases with a third party vendor (my process for my curated collection) and have never had an issue with anything purchased at One Savvy Design. Arlene has actually been kind enough to authenticate items I’ve purchased elsewhere. If consigning with One Savvy Design, I do recommend reading the contract carefully as rules apply just like every other consignment shop and “I didn’t know” will not serve you well. I highly recommend OSD for great finds and prices. You will not find another consignment shop that will give you a bigger share of the profit - takes the headache out of resale. DO NOT USE THIS CONSIGNMENT STORE! They returned to me my expensive Gucci sunglasses, after I decided not to sell them there, with a very damaged case! They put scotch tape on a very delicate, leather case, and it pulled the outer leather layer off in 2 large spots!! How will I be able to sell these impeccable glasses without a nice case? They do not take very good care of your personal items. The owner is not a good business person.
