For a variety of reasons, I have developed issues with food, from menu planning to shopping to cooking. During COVID these issues became worse for obvious reasons. In addition, many of my usual go-to resources were also lost. One morning as I found myself struggling with something that I was cooking, I'm not sure what possessed me to call a culinary store, but I did. I started with a few stores that were more local to me, but I didn’t get a very friendly response. Therefore, I decided to try and call one more store, a bit farther from where I lived, and I am so glad I did! Believe it or not, for the past 2 1/2 years I have been calling this same Williams Sonoma location on a regular basis asking for culinary advice. While at first the staff’s friendliness seemed to come from the fact that they were just nice people, over time I could tell, from the tone of their voices and the amount of time they tried to give me, they truly cared about my well-being. I have called the corporate office several times to praise the exceptional staff at this particular store and now, by writing this online review, I also hope to inform the public of the wonderful people who work there.
Most recently, the staff have been assisting me with exploring the website so that I can shop from home, as I really need to start updating some of my kitchenware. But I hope one day to make it to the store in person, even if only to be able to thank all these wonderful people...
Read moreVisited the store earlier today to pick up a few things. Love this store. However, while there, I observed an employee, middle aged blonde woman treat what seemed like a repairman or something of that sort with completele disrespect. I was really offended that someone would behave this way towards anyone at all. I mean this woman truly treated this person like a second rate citizen. Granted, I was only an observer and do not know the nature of the issue, but this man was really polite and trying to help. This woman on the other hand, really acted like he was beneath her. Watching her, I felt afraid to ask for any assistance, while standing there in complete awe of the fact that she allowed herself to behave in this manner. I even asked another employee who she was, as I do visit from time to time but have never seen her. Their answer... THE DISTRICT MANAGER... wow... you would think in that position you would treat all other with kindness and respect, lead by example. Made me sad that this is exceptable in this day and age. Will I be back? Yes. I love the store. But, should I see her again, you will find me doing my shopping on the opposite side of the store, getting assistance from anyone...
Read moreWas told the price of an item by a representative was $6/per unit, at checkout the items registered at $7.99/ per unit ( un-noticed until we were able to check the emailed receipt ). We received an email receipt and did not notice the discrepancy until we had returned home. On the William Sonoma website the price was $6/per unit, after speaking with a support representative, we were told the stores can charge higher prices and they would not reimburse the difference or price match, even though on their website the price was the correct price per unit $6.
The solution that was given to us was to return the products to the B&M store and to re-purchase the products online. THAT IS NOT GOOD BUSINESS.
The in-store representatives like to talk a lot but would be great if they did their actual job. If i'm told price A it should be price A not price B. After this shopping experience I'll never shop at this location again, clearly they like to play games with customers and I will NEVER shop at William Sonoma online or in-store again.
Thank you for leaving a bad taste in my mouth, enjoy 1 less customer, not...
