Wahchung Restaurant — Restaurant in Montclair

This place definitely deserves more attention! I've been to other Chinese restaurants in the area but Wahchung Restaurant is by far the best of all the places I've tried so far. I happen to live very close to the one that people in Montclair seem to rave about (which remains unnamed here), but I seriously don't see what the hype is all about. In my opinion Wahchung Restaurant is better in terms of both the taste (it's got more "oomph" than the other place) and value (large portion with decent prices! The other place is way too expensive ... I thought Chinese food was supposed to be...

I've ordered here many time. I always a General Tso Chicken with White Rice, Mild, sometime a combo sometimes not.

Today I ordered the same thing a Standard General Tso Chicken with White Rice, Mild. Today They messed up and had pork fried rice. It made it to there attention and gave us with white rice. They gave as a combo vs a standard and on top of that, it was extremely spicy with one small taste test. My lips are red and burning. For Context, I'm extremely sensitive to spices and always request and ensure to ask to make it mild. . .

This is easily the best chinese food take out place I've ever ordered from!!

It's basic Chinese food but juat cooked better. Like just try the General Tso's Chicken and see what I mean. Most places just over bread it and fry it and try to pass it off as food. This place doesnt bread it, but cooks it mouth watering bbq style that is extremely tender and juicy.

The cooks here just really know what they are doing and the food is great. It's top quality basic Chinese food and while they don't deliver, it's 100% worth the pick up. (Or do a...
