Gene's Stop and Go — Restaurant in Montesano

Though burgers aren't my favorite food, the one I had here was the best I've had. The fries were similar to Texas Burger fries, but way better. The chocolate shake wasn't the best, but it wasn't the reason we'd come, anyway. All our food was served in a delightful brown paper bag that was indicative of the mom n pop atmosphere (I am of the opinion that only the best food comes in plain, brown paper bags). Everything tasted fresh and cooked well.

The service was excellent and the counter lady was attentive. We were difficult to hear over the sounds of the road, but she made sure to repeat everything back to ensure that our order was correct. The Dole mango/pineapple ice cream was delicious.

Goop deserves its very own section. I'm not a big fan of mustard; that said, there was a perfect amount of mustard in their goop so as to be a flavor enhancer rather than a...

Every time we go, food and service are amazing! From the tastiest burgers to the crispy outside, soft inside fries, to the sauce, ah lawd, the sauce!! ♡ You can even get a combined 1/2 & 1/2 tots and fries so if you want some of each but not 2 full orders. I mean, what's not to love about this Monte icon?! Always something to play or an activity the summer too! Like cornhole, or drawing with chalk, hands down, this is THE stop to make when in town or just passing through from Oly to the beach!

Oh, because it matters: the bathroom, it's CLEAN! you know that doesn't happen often enough at quick food places, if they even have one at all!

Ate here today and was blown away at how expensive it is. They charge a dollar extra for tomato. We had one double cheeseburger with bacon one regular cheeseburger with bacon both with tomato two large fries and a chicken basket for the kid. it was over 40 bucks! And they were greasy gut bombs. The buns were saturated with grease, yet the burgers were overcooked and dry. I will never eat there again. I came there to try their burgers because Elma where I live, has the worst burgers this side of Olympia, and apparently so does Montesano. I seriously would rather just eat at Burger King which has the worst burgers of all the fast...
