Gran Rodeo has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants to go to, and is BY FAR the best Mexican restaurant in the Montgomery county area. We are always greeted warmly when we walk in; seated quickly; and promptly served a large bowl of complimentary chips and salsa (which they will refill if you want). The chips and salsa are excellent, and it's hard not to fill up on those alone before you even get your main course! The menu is extensive, to say the least, and it's truly hard to choose just one dish. I seriously doubt you can go wrong with anything you order, which always comes out quickly and very hot! My go to has been the Fajitas Burrito, which always leaves me smiling and full! However, my last visit I went off script and ordered the chicken fajitas for one, which the server said could easily serve two. WOW!! He wasn't kidding!! The mound of sizzling chicken, onions, peppers and tomatoes was huge! It was fantastic!! SO GOOD!! For desert we had the flan, which was fantastic!! Our servers have always been great, attending to us with a smile and pleasantries, which always makes the meal better. Atmosphere is great, and the seating comfortable. Prices are very reasonable and you get a lot of food for your money! I really can't say enough positive things about Gran Rodeo. If you like Mexican food, you HAVE to give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

January 2025 UPDATE I decided to bring my daughter, who is a little picky, and she loved it. I tried different things and believe me it didn't disappoint. The Piña Loca was AMAZING, the seasoning, the sauce on it, the temperature of the meat, wow really good. My child tried shrimps very good, and what about dessert??? The fried ice cream 😋 very good and I finally find a place with a proper done molten, when I cut into the cake the chocolate sauce ooze out warm, decadent. This place is above and beyond good food. My server was super nice as well. 2024 I liked this place very much, great location and accommodation. The staff was friendly, the food was good, the only reason I gave a 4 was because the sauce on the fish tacos was on the sweet side, didn't expect that other than it was good. I loved the guacamole,I really liked the lemon note on it. That guacamole remained a fresh green color, sometimes it becomes dark and that is not appealing. I finally tried the guava Jarrito, loved it. Definitely I will go back. Looking at the menu they have vegetarian options and gluten free. Couldn't tried dessert this time. Portions are generous.

The food smells and looks pretty good. Service was EXCELLENT! Chips were ok, salsa has a lot of cilantro and the spicey cream sauce was pretty good. Food was just ok. My wife's tacos and beans were not very hot and the meat was chewy, according to her. My quesadilla was very good and hot. However, like with any Mexican restaurant was a little lacking in toppings like tomatoes and sour cream but a ton of lettuce and rice lol. Prices are up there so be prepared, especially the drinks. The Mexican music was nice at first to get you in the groove but after awhile not so much. Place is clean, everyone looks professional and they were pleasant. Nothing outstanding to make us want to come back like some of our go to Mexican restaurants. Happy to try and support a local business but probably one and done for us.

This Mexican restaurant surprised me with its flavor and quality. I was so happy when I saw they brought out white sauce with their chips and salsa! The chicken was moist and had an amazing charbroiled signature flavor. The onions and peppers were cooked very well and the rice and beans were flavorful with just the right amount of salt. Their cheese sauce and burrito sauce both popped with amazing flavor. Their chips are on the thicker and crisper side and nice and fresh. The order came out very quickly and of course… hot plate! You don’t have to worry about getting cold food 😎. The price was very reasonable for lunch specials, rivaling fast-casual chains. All the staff was very nice and overall it was a fantastic experience and we will be back.

Delicious food, huge portions, and affordable prices. Our order came to $75 for 3 people and that included a margarita flight, 3 entrees, and 2 desserts. We sat at the bar because we didn’t mind it, but there was only about a 5 minute wait for a table. The food was amazing, all of us loved what we got - the quesadilla texana, carnitas, and vegetarian enchiladas. They give you chips with red salsa and queso when you first arrive. We got the classic margarita flight which we all shared so we could try the different flavors. We finished it off with tres leches and sopapillas with ice cream which we split. We were absolutely stuffed but finished the dessert because it was so good. Will definitely be returning here in the future!

Staying at the hotel next door so convenience was the name of the game but was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, service quick and attentive. Nice atmosphere. Their chips are fresh and crispy and their white “secret sauce” delicious. I asked about it but was told it was secret and my waiter didn’t know the ingredients. The taco salad was really good too. Chicken cooked nicely. The reason for 4 instead of 5 star is that the sour cream and guac were already in the salad as were the refried beans. The sour cream had broken and the base of the taco shell was quite soggy as a result of all the sauces. The food was hot and delicious so I can’t knock them more than that.
