Ricky's Thai gets a low review from me -- and no returns -- because of a simple pair of chopsticks. I was there with a friend on Feb. 2, '24. The appetizer and main courses were very good ... BUT ... when our main courses arrived I asked our waitress for a set of chopsticks, since they were not automatically placed with the table settings. (My friend prefers Western-style fork and spoon.) The waitress said yes to my request in a friendly way -- and then never returned. I sat waiting because I just don't enjoy tasting metal with fine Asian food. The owner/manager was nearby, so my friend asked him. He confirmed that we just needed one (1) set -- and then busied himself elsewhere and never saw that I got them. Finally, I stopped a waitress serving other tables and made my request for a third time. It took about about three minutes before she finally brought me a set. I sat there a total of 10 minutes -- or more -- with my food getting cold, because the staff of Ricky's Thai ignored me and my simple, polite request for chopsticks. Maybe because so few non-Asians know how to use chopsticks (but I do), the staff didn't take me seriously. Probably thought I was just making a frivolous request. Two stars for Ricky's Thai, and I'm not going back. You really can't blame...
Read moreI hadn't been to a Thai restaurant before and this was excellent from the moment my friend and I entered. It's a hidden gem, I think, tucked in a shopping plaza. We were greeted with a warm, friendly face followed by a most helpful waitress. The place was immaculate, spacious and relaxing. Our waitress didn't try to rush us and took time to answer any questions we had. The prices are very good, surely comparable to any good lunch place. From ordering to getting our meal it was very fast and the food was excellent. My friend likes vegetarian with little to no spice whereas I'm a spicy nut. We both loved the food and will definitely come back. We never would have known about it had our first lunch choice been available but they told us so we decided to try it. So glad we did. If you're looking for a Thai restaurant with good service, quality food, good prices then you must stop in here. They can make the food mild to spicy depending on your wishes. If you aren't sure of something just ask as they will take the time to answer all questions. I will definitely recommend this place and plan...
Read moreGood location, clean modern interior. This will probably be my to-go place for thai food. The Pad Kee Mao was awesome. Tons of flavor and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The beef skewers were so tender and loved the two dipping sauces. What surprised me is how good their desserts were! The mango mousse cake and tartufo were SO GOOD. Definitely going to get those every time I come back. The waitress was very kind and made sure we had everything we needed. Didn't have to wait long at all for the food to arrive. Went back a second time and ordered their fried red snapper and fried tofu. The red snapper was cooked wonderfully but a bit bland and the sauce it was laying on added some tang flavor but definitely could have used some salt.
The fried tofu also was a bit bland but had a nice texture. It came with sauce on the side but there definitely wasnt enough of it.
Overall a great place to eat and I definitely have my favorite dishes that...
