So Tigers Tale has been a staple in Montgomery for 35 years. In all that time the menu has pretty much stayed the same... and the decor too. There are two sides of the restaurant... the bar side and the dining side. The bar has room for at least 40 in addition to high tops and a couple.of booths. The dining side has a ton of tables of different sizes to fit your group. Food is generally very good. Selections range from chicken wings to full dinners. This time I had the Tigers Tale "original"... a breast of bbq chicken on a garlic toasted roll. Spicy and flavorful but definitely more bread than chicken. The fries are hand cut and really tasty. If I have one compliant about this place is that the liquor...at least the beers anyway... are, I think, expensive. While they have an excellent selection with 24 beers on tap, there is no price list so you have no idea what you will be paying. I had a Smithwicks from the tap and it came in at $7.99. My two beers were more than the entree! However, based on the crowd for a Monday night and the amount liquor consumed I can only assume that no one really cares. So try it out. I'm sure you will be satisfied.

The Tiger's Tale is everything I want in a neighborhood bar. The bar itself is huge, the menu is extensive, the food is VERY good, prices are more than fair in today's economy, and the staff are friendly, professional, and attentive, and the beer selection is great. The inside has a warm atmosphere that feels immediately welcoming as soon as you walk in. They have PHENOMENAL daily specials, and now, during the summer, they have an awesome lobster happy hour deal that can't be beat ($19.99 whole lobster . Wednesday is Prime Rib night - a 16 oz. Prime Rib for $27.99 (as of 7/18/25). I went my first time recently and immediately knew I'd be back even though I don't live in the area. If you like steaks, seafood, burgers, and traditional bar food with your ice cold beer - you really can't do much better than the Tiger's Tale. 5 Well-deserved stars!

From the moment you step through the door, you instantly understand that Tiger's Tale in Montgomery is far more than just your average bar & grill. This restaurant truly understands the essence of providing an extraordinary dining experience, balancing extraordinary customer service, a lively ambiance, and mouthwatering dishes that will captivate your taste buds.

From start to finish, the staff here exhibit an unwavering commitment to exemplary customer service. Despite the busy atmosphere, the service is not just swift, but overwhelmingly friendly and attentive. Every staff member we interacted with demonstrated a genuine interest in ensuring our meal was an experience to remember, contributing to a perfect score of 5 out of 5 in the customer service department.

Now, let's talk about the food. Oh, the food! Tiger's Tale truly knocked it out of the park, garnering another resounding 5 out of 5. For starters, the potato skins are a must-try. Bold in flavor and beautifully prepared, these potato skins were simply out of this world—truly some of the best I've ever had.

The chicken fingers, meanwhile, were far from your ordinary, run-of-the-mill fare. Clearly made from fresh, not frozen, chicken, they were wonderfully crispy on the outside while remaining juicy and tender on the inside—not the slightest bit dry. It was a delightful surprise and one that definitely elevated the meal.

As for the main course, I opted for the day's special—a root beer marinated skirt steak—and I must say, it was a decision I didn't regret. The steak was cooked to perfection, showcasing a perfect balance of tenderness and flavor. The root beer marinade was truly a revelation, adding a unique, succulent flavor profile to the steak that had me wanting more. I should note, though, that I wasn't crazy about the potatoes that accompanied the steak, they weren't bad, just not quite on par with the exceptional caliber of the rest of the meal.

Finally, what’s a delightful meal without some delicious dessert? The carrot cake and rice pudding were to die for! Both were creamy, rich, and left us satisfied, yet craving for more—a fitting end to a fabulous meal.

Tiger's Tale in Montgomery is an excellent place to visit if you're in search of a dining experience that ticks all the boxes: outstanding food, exemplary customer service, and a wonderful atmosphere. It is an establishment that truly shines in a crowded field, making it an unmissable destination for...

I am honestly baffled by these reviews. First time in the area to see a movie and saw this place was practically next door, open late, and had very good reviews, so we gave it a try... First thing we noticed walking in the door is the outdated DIRTY bar and the place looks nothing like the decent / rustic pictures posted online. Then walking to the hostess stand we were hit with an awful smell! At first we thought it was maybe because of the bar area or someone’s meal that we just didn’t have a personal preference for, so we asked to sit in the dining area instead of Bar. The carpets were filthy and covered with oily Chip Crumbs!!! We sit down and realize the smell is still there. I lean over and smell the wooden planked walls and gagged! Then I smelled the menu and table... same thing! Only reason we stayed was the fact that it was so late, the silverware and glasses didn’t smell, and figured maybe the food will surprise us because of the reviews... we decided to choose wisely and try to order something that we couldn’t get sick from, so a burger cooked thoroughly and pork roll and cheese sandwich. Basic food that we could have gotten at a deli. Our waitress was very busy and needed help with all of the tables, so I don’t blame her at all for not being attentive. She was obviously overworked. Leaving the restaurant we went outside and used some hand sanitizer before touching our car, but couldn’t do anything about the smell that clung to our clothes. I tried finding their health rating in the window, but nothing was posted. Will never go back here. I have been in quite a few ā€œdiveā€ bars and wasn’t expecting this place to be high end or five stars. But I was not expecting that for a place with 4+ star ratings. Needs to be cleaned and updated,...

We had noticed this place as we drove by this place afew times and found it interesting, so my daughter and me decided to try it out this weekend. While the food and drink selections were reasonably good, the waitress had a really terrible attitude towards us. We just thought she was just another crabby curmudgeon, overworked and stressed out dealing with the heavy Saturday evening crowd and thought nothing more about it. But things took a bad turn when my daughter decided to order a drink. The waitress's response really shocked us. She made this horrible face and told us she could not serve the drink and was going to go get the manager. Shortly the manager appeared and pointing to my daughter, told me that every time they'd served her a drink she had caused problems!! I had to tell the manager that she had never had a drink in that joint anytime before. So clearly a case of mistaken identity and I am sure they recognized it too. However, no contrition; no apologies; not even a softening of attitude or reduction in rudeness from the crazy Karen who was serving us. Needless to say, we just came to the inevtiable conclusion that if you were not white you were not welcome at this place. And clearly, our money was no good for them, and so we tipped her an ultra-generous $1 and walked out of there in disgust. It's quite bothersome that you'd be subjected to this right in the heart of cosmopolitan...
