Food was delicious. The environment makes the food taste better(I'm not sure why, but I enjoy it). I've been inside as well as worked at several Hispanic grocery stores (Indianapolis) and have liked the layouts of most. The menu is majority in Spanish, but next to/under will tell you in English what it is. I like to try foods that are not necessarily considered 'normal' to some. El Chido is a place where I can go to do this. But also a place where I can invite my easily queezy aunt to lunch and have a normal meal. They offer a buffet that has several different sauces to add to your plate. Along with different veggies, (jalapeños, cucumbers, lettuce, pico, onions, cilantro, ect). I will be eating there again. 9/22 Well my 3rd time eating here and the food is exceptional. If you decide to eat here, don't be put off by the look. You will be entering a Mexican supermarket but keep to the back and restaurant is there. Ample seating, with about 15 tables. They do have someone come to your table to take your order. Or you can do takeout. English is spoken but sometimes the words get lost. So if you speak Spanish will be heaven. Everyone is very nice and very pleasant. I can't say enough about the food. So far, everything is made fresh. The refried beans have so much flavor. They do have a salsa bar with all the fresh condiments to go with your dish. I am in love with the quesodila fajitas. I haven't tried any else since I am in love with dish so far. My daughter always have the street tacos. Yummy! I can't say enough...
