My wife and I stopped by Little Donkey for lunch yesterday, and we were seriously impressed. Our server, Lucy, was awesome—super friendly and full of great suggestions. Thanks to her, we tried things we might not have ordered otherwise, and everything was delicious.
I went with two tacos—the fried catfish and the brisket—and both were packed with flavor. The catfish was crispy and perfectly seasoned, and the brisket was tender with just the right amount of smokiness. My wife got the veggie tacos, and she couldn’t stop raving about them. We also had a couple of margaritas, and they were smooth and refreshing—no skimping on the tequila!
Lucy talked us into ordering their fried chicken to-go for later, and let’s just say… it didn’t last long. We cracked into it as soon as we got to the car because the smell was too good to resist. And wow—it lived up to the hype! Juicy, crispy, and full of flavor.

I got the supreme burrito and added brisket. Those additions brought my $10 burrito to $17.
The brisket was flavorful and tender, unlike what another reviewer experienced. However, the amount of brisket was very small and I will not get the brisket next time.
The burrito was delicious! The salsa verde was amazingly flavorful and added just the perfect amount of kick for my preferences. Red salsa is not as spicy
Service was friendly but more frequent water refill would be helpful if you get something spicy (or less ice)
Don’t sit at the high top tables. The chairs are uncomfortable, making you feel pushed forward.
All in all, that burrito will...

The wings were probably the highlight, they had a cool twist with tajín and lime, gave them a nice little kick.
The aguas frescas? Not really my thing. Tasted more like flavored syrup mixed with Sprite, which was kinda disappointing.
As for the brisket taco, the corn tortilla was made really well, but the brisket itself was dry and pretty bland. Could’ve used more flavor overall.
So, the food was okay , nothing to write home about, If you’re headed to the museum, I’d suggest checking out the restaurant actually located inside instead. Definitely...
