Panera Bread — Restaurant in Montgomery

We usually don't have a problem with other Panera locations but I brought my wife to this location and she ordered a bowl of soup while I ordered a cup of soup with a sandwich. When we got our food she noticed that she had the exact same amount of soup that I had in my little cup, so I took it up to the counter to ask if she could get a little more. When I told the guy at the counter that she had the same amount in her bowl as I had in my cup he said and I quote "Aight let's see." And proceeded to pour my wife's soup into a cup to prove to me that it wasn't the same amount. When he realized that it actually was the same amount of soup that fit in the cup he gave me a rude look and said "well that's just what the portion is." It's not a huge deal but all I was asking for is to just give my wife the extra amount of soup that we paid for, but instead we were given rude service. Food is good, but service is lacking. I generally only place mobile orders and each time I arrive to pick it up, the app says the food is ready for pickup but I still have to wait 5-10 minutes for the food to be placed on the pickup cart. Makes me think staff are telling the system "food is ready" as soon as they get the order, rather than when they put the order out for pickup. Today, the same thing. App said food was ready for pickup, and when I got there the food was not ready. Thankfully the wait wasn't long, about 3 minutes, but when I got home with the food I realized they forgot part of my order. So I had to drive back and get it. This kind of thing never happens at Chic-Fil-A. Surprises me how one chain can get it so right, while another gets it so wrong. I mean, I'll keep ordering Panera because the food is good, but just set your expectations low for this location and check your bag before you leave to be sure your whole...

I had a wonderful experience at this Panera Bread recently. A cashier named Sydney was extremely helpful with the four orders that I’d placed (I was picking up for myself and three other family members), ensuring that I received everything that I asked for and being so polite and positive and friendly the entire time. I realize that it’s the cooks who deserve credit for the quality of the food, but I believe that it's important to highlight the quality of good service as well. It was already after 7 p.m., and Sydney had likely worked a full day; but never once did she complain about the complexity of my order or the time taken to input everything as she rang me up. She simply maintained a kind and professional demeanor throughout the entire exchange. Ordering the food was a breeze because of her, and I would definitely visit this...
