Overall underwhelming and disappointing experience. I love Texas Roadhouse and have been many times in many states.
I was seated quickly but then waited for the waitress to show up.
A couple was seated near me for about 5 or 10 mins. She showed up and took my drink order and said she'd bring me some rolls. The couple seated had rolls immediately and received their drinks, and their orders were taken before I saw my waitress again. I received my rolls from someone else about 5 mins later, but no drink.
When my waitress finally showed back up, with no drink, she took my full order. I asked again for my drink. She apologized and brought it to me.
They were out of the appetizer I ordered, no big, just annoying. My ribeye steak came out and seemed good until about 6 bites in I noticed it was way overcooked and rough to eat. I hate returning food, but 75% of my steak was well done when I ordered medium rare! So I looked around and tried to flag down other servers. I was completely ignored! She never came to check on me.
My waitress finally came out of the kitchen and stood just observing the room. After waiving like an idiot for 3 minutes she finally saw me, even though I was straight back in full view of her.
I promise I've been nothing but kind and engaging with her and others, so I'm perplexed why the bad service. She was always friendly when we interacted.
I told her about the steak and said she would get it fixed. It came back barely seared, but medium rare (barely any ribcap =/ the best part! Oh well). They forgot my mushrooms, she brought that. I ate what I could. Packed up my food, paid at the card reader on the table and left.
As I was leaving the parking lot, she was leaving. I knew it seemed I was her only table, but that confirmed it. I just wish she had cared enough or more diligent enough to check on me and that the kitchen whose primary job is to cook steaks knew how to cook medium rare with a sear! The steaks are getting thinner, though, so that's probably what is throwing...

Read moreI went here after my graduation with my family(about 16-17 people). My graduation was in Auburn,Al and we were traveling to Montgomery since I live in Montgomery and it was my fav restaurant until now. I called TRH when I left the Graduation and stayed on hold until I got to Montgomery (40 min drive). When I got to Texas Roadhouse, waitresses kept telling us “15 more minutes” after we had already been waiting an hour. After 2 hours of waiting, they seated us in a section with 6 clean and open tables but came back and rudely told us we could only have 5/6 tables even though I had a Family member with a wheelchair and needed room for a booster seat. I asked to speak to the manager and the lady in front of me, with a very rude and condescending attitude, said I am the manager while popping her neck. I asked her to walk to a quieter area / away from other customers to avoid a scene and I explained the situation to her and that I had called ahead of time AND been waiting over 2 hours. This alleged manager (which I don’t believe was the actual manager because I used to eat here frequently) did not once apologize (or show any empathy) for the inconvenience or offer any type of resolution to the issue. So my family and I ended up leaving without eating on my graduation day. How did you expect us to eat sitting elbow to elbow in those 5 tables? Everyone in my party was not from Montgomery so they all had to travel 1-2 hours home hungry after we wasted all that time waiting to be seated and served . Also, when I mentioned that I was on hold for over 40 minutes the manager’s response was “I don’t know what to tell you about that” . A simple apology and simply telling us when we first arrived that you did not have the ability to take this size party right now would’ve made all the difference. Thank you Texas Roadhouse for being the one bad memory I will always have of my...
