Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Montville

My girlfriend an I went here a couple nights ago at 9:30 pm. As soon as we walked thru the door we asked if we could sit in a specific booth, and we were very rudely told that “ This half of the restaurant is closed and you have to find somewhere else to sit.” So we chose one of the very few booths close to the bar that weren’t taken already. Bar tender walks over to the table and says oh you had to choose the dirty table? Haha haha. Okay whatever. Then after sitting a while, bar tender comes back and says what do you guys want? We barely finish our orders and she quickly walks away and says “K” - we felt very un welcome there the entire time. All of the employees here were in a bad mood and not afraid to take it out on customers. I guess it was a mistake going to chili’s again, after my other bad experiences with the curbside pickup. Which is another story; The last two times I got curbside pickup I had to wait an extra 15 minutes for the food, which wouldn’t have been a big deal if the food was actually cooked all the way and I didn’t have to pick peoples hair out of it. Word of advice, spend the extra money at Texas road house and get your moneys worth. Their food is so much better and the employees at least act like they...

Me and my 4 family members dined in at your restaurant this Saturday after not having the greatest of experiences in the past at the Lisbon and New London chilis :( My family and I were pleasantly surprised with how our visit went. We were greated by a friendly male host that asked if we would like to sit in the bar or dining area which we opted to sit in the bar area (we like watching sports) We waited maybe only 3 or 4 minutes before our server jessy greeted us and asked if we would like to start off with a margarita. We Love your monthly margaritas so me and my husband got 1of your and it was very tasty- not overly sweet which was nice. Our server was very sweet, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and it actually seemed like she really enjoyed her job. The appetizers came out very quickly and ALL the meals were perfect-not one thing was missing down to the extra dipping sauces we asked for (which never happens) the dinners was hot, tasty and cooked perfect. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this visit. This is definitely our new go to chilis. Thanks for the great service and food. Great service food was great, except the chilli was too salty, which the waitress had warned me about, and I still took it and a house salad with balsamic dressing. The salad was great. The chilli was more than a little salty it was super salty. The waitress asked if I would like something else instead but know how to cook a little bit or at least blend spices somewhat, I asked for more balsamic dressing, to put into the chilli, this took care of the over salted ness, still slight hint of salty to it but it was bearable. Then my entree was the Cajun chicken pasta, which was done excellently. The sauce was a very well put together sauce that wasn't watery and had a Cajun taste to it, my opinion could use just a bit more but otherwise still very good. Then for dessert I had a molten cake with ice cream topping and caramel drizzle. This was delicious the cake was warmed but not enough to melt the ice cream at a fast rate, in my eyes and tastes bud this was delicious. Thank you for the good dinner, truly...
