I had to make a trip to OKC a few weeks ago, and wanted to try a sandwich shop I recalled seeing the OKC Cake Lady's post on Facebook where she baked a special "grilled cheese sandwich-looking cake" for their grand opening. Couldn't remember the name, so I checked her posts and discovered it is called "Crimson Melt." I Googled directions and headed to Moore for lunch. The restaurant takes up 2 suites in the "strip mall;" the main entrance is to the left. Once inside, you proceed to the counter (to the left, toward the back and place your order. I chose to "build my own" sandwich from the menu options: garlic/basil/parmesan sourdough bread, smoked gouda and Swiss cheese, grilled chicken, caramelized onions, and avocado spread....😋😋😋 I definitely also wanted to try a milkshake, and followed the counter person's recommendation of the "Union Break," which is a coffee ice cream base, with lots of whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles, caramel drizzle, little donuts, and a honey bun! At the offer of "$5 more makes it a meal deal," I opted for THAT; it included tater tots and a drink(fountain drink, NOT the milkshake - that was an additional $7.99 for the 12 oz. size). Could I finish it all? I could not.đŸ€Ł What a great meal, though! I had the opportunity to chat with Suzy Cardenas, the manager; it was pointed out to me by staff that the owner, Ashontay Owens, was there in the dining room meeting with Suzy and another person. I learned he is both a military veteran (Air Force), as well as a retired fire chief! They've been open about 3 months now and are still in the process of "tweaking things" to give the best possible experience for their customers. The restaurant is completely firefighter-themed, even in the bathroom, with the clever use of pressure gauges and pipes for the toilet tissue holder! This place is absolutely worth a side trip when in OKC area, instead of hitting up the run-of-the-mill restaurants along I-40! I felt the prices were super reasonable for the great food and absolute work of art milkshakes! If you plan on going during "peak" hours, there can sometimes be a 30-45 minute wait for a table, but you can choose to get your food "to-go" if you're not able to wait for seating. I went around 1:30 p.m. and had my choice of seating.

This is a really nice establishment! I came here hyped up because I read There was vegan options on are the reviews Plus Google had mentioned vegan However, the staff isn't very well trained on what veganism is, and this isn't somewhere I can recommend for a vegan to go Yes, they have vegan cheese on their menu but I'm not sure if they understand that vegan means it will not have any animal rennet in it, any dairy, any mono or diglycerides They for sure do not have a vegan safe bread, they have gluten-free which is not vegan safe, and a sourdough, it having sourdough means old rotted disgusting dairy milk turn bacterial before it was cooked. You can order the build your own but you have to add every single vegetable to it so your sandwich will be over $15 when you're done, and you're still going to be at risk if you're vegan for the breads containing Dairy products, eggs, and mono and diglycerides. So no, there is nothing vegan safe about this place unfortunately for us vegans I did however decide since I was here and fixing to have to drive 3 hours to the South I might as well customize myself a sandwich call me it's just bread with the fixings and their vegan cheese. Thanks for the sandwich, but please try to work on your vegan menu gluten-free just means that it doesn't have the male sperm part of the flower in it. That's all gluten is is the sperm of a flower. There's nothing to do with being vegan. Vegan means nothing that ever came from animal or a living source, as the cells in animal rent it or biologically animal, that means anything with cheese or monoglycerides cannot be included on that list, a vegan safe list. So once again to the managers, train your staff, gluten-free does not mean vegan

The food was absolutely awful and fell far short of expectations. What I ordered looked nothing like what was served. The soup was unappetizing and nearly inedible, and the mac and cheese was a complete joke—there was almost no cheese at all, just plain penne noodles. On top of that, they charged $4 for a small soda, which felt like an insult given the poor quality of the meal. Overall, the experience was deeply disappointing. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone and I wouldn’t even consider serving their food to a pet. To make matters worse, it was a total waste of $64.41. This was hands down one of the most regrettable experiences I’ve ever had. To address the owner’s misleading statements: the order was placed at 12:01 and should have been ready by 12:21. My son left your establishment at 12:25 and arrived home at 12:33 and walked through the door at 12:35. We live less than 2 miles from your restaurant. For clarity, I have receipts to back this up, including Life360 timestamps and Ring camera footage showing exactly when he arrived with the food. My original intent was simply to warn others before they wasted their money. There was no point in complaining because bad flavor isn’t something you can fix. Instead of attacking a customer’s character, perhaps focus on quality control and ensuring your staff doesn’t send out subpar food. To suggest that my review was an attack on a veteran-owned business is absurd. My family is full of veterans, and none of them would use their service as an excuse or shield against valid criticism. Shame on you for attacking a paying customer instead of addressing the real issues within your business.

Let me start off by sharing the excitement for this new establishment in Moore, Oklahoma. Now I knew going to the restaurant on opening day was going to be crazy, but honestly, for a real review that the establishment can take into consideration for the future is best found in the start. Initially walking in, it was packed. I may not be exact but I can almost guess that they exceeded the beautifully painted max occupancy of 99. Which for a new business is kinda wonderful. My first thing to notice was the lack of interaction from staff to the guests in the dining room. Looking around I seen more people. All eyes on the kitchen than on eating their food because they simply did not have the food to eat. Not even drinks on the table. But I, of course, like to sit nearby the kitchen and eavesdrop. You can hear the frustration from those prepping food but they working harder than I think I have ever seen a group of cooks in a kitchen. A few of them kept great attitudes and smiles despite the chaos. Now on the other hand, the man I believed to be the owner was running around trying to help his staff, while the woman I assumed to be the GM of the establishment spent more time standing around clueless. At one point I heard those in the kitchen ask for assistance to help get the drinks out and she eventually would wander to something else. A GM of an establishment should be someone out interacting with customers. Making sure they are taken care of while food is being waited on, jumping in to help their staff get things done, the cook was leading direction in the kitchen and handling more business in the two hours I was there. When I finally received my food in sections. Presentation wise, sandwich amazing! I ordered the Shift Fridge so I could get my money's worth. Tots, not so much. The serving size of the tots is like a small from Sonic. I was expecting a mountain on my tray for the price. Now I didnt ordered the mac since it was on my sandwhich so I had to observe others, dont come at me for the taste critique because I dont have it. I did, however, notice that portions were misleading from what they advertised. I expected to see a boat of cheesy mac, not a single scoop from braums cup. These portions are unacceptable for the price. You can eat a fat steak dinner with two sides for that. Same with the shakes, although they are beautiful shakes, the price is still too high. I get, it is completely new and will need to work out the kinks but if they don't handle it quick it could hurt them. The establishment had a wonderful atmosphere and a great purpose. I hope it succeeds.

Sincerely, Your Favorite...

We saw an advertisement on Facebook the pictures looked amazing so we go in to try it and there are teenagers running the place cussing in front of us being very unprofessional we get our food it is incorrect we are argued with over what we ordered even to the point of saying that I didn't pay for an extra side of ranch that I was asking for which I indeed did and had to show them on the receipt we were given attitude the whole time I had ordered tots with stuff on top of them they brought me a sandwich I requested it be sent back and for I had ordered tots with stuff on top of them they brought me a sandwich I requested it be sent back and for me to get what I ordered my husband was already done eating by the time my food came out it was burned there wasn't melty cheese on top it was just overall horrible experience I reached out on the Facebook page and was told how upset the owner was about it and the owner wanted to meet and talk about which I would have been fine with but it wasn't just me I was told that in order for me to get my money back for my food or some sort of discount or something for the next time we came I was told I would have to sit down with the owner and the manager that was on duty because they said what I said was not true.... They lied and said that I sent my food back because of incorrect toppings not because they gave me a sandwich instead of a loaded tots which is what it was supposed to be never in my life have I been told that I would have to sit down and argue my case to the person who already treated me disrespectfully and called me a liar... I repeatedly asked for them to sit down with just me if you wanted to sit down but I would not continue to be disrespected by his employee in all of my years I have never heard of anyone doing that so needless to say nothing was done because he refused to do anything so I will not be taking my business back there and I will be telling everyone I know how horrible of an experience I had their and how the owner wouldn't even give me the time of day because they believed the employees over the customer even after I begged them to go back and check the cameras they refused to do that. I even waited a couple of weeks thinking maybe after he had some time that he would go back and look at it and reach back out to me but that never happened. Being in a family a veterans and having several friends as well that are veterans I never would have expected this kind of thing from somewhere that was local and...
