Ordered the garlic chicken and hummus which we asked could be served to us as an appetizer. The chicken and potatoes were well flavored but were dry and overcooked. The hummus did not come as an appetizer and was brought the entree. The hummus had a bitter flavor that I believe came from the olive oil that was not fresh and it came with only one piece of of bread. I did not like whenever anybody came in they screamed out loud , "Welcome to Meddy's!" (I thought this was a restaurant, not a pizza joint.) When we ordered our food I asked for a receipt which the register attendant threw away as he turned away from me. He seemed to have an attitude like...we didn't really know what we were doing. I felt like he tried to rush us in our decision of food what we wanted to eat and we weren't worth his valuable time. I just wanted a moment to read the menu and make my own decision because I was paying for it. Despite all this... Original Review: We arrived during a busy time, so ordering was a little chaotic, but we just weren't that impressed with the food. Service was excellent, we loved the pita bread, but the heavenly hummus platter was like a giant bowl of hummus soup. The hummus was cold, so the Shawarma chicken in it was also cold. Im so glad we did!! We ordered the Heavenly Hummus plate with chicken. Honestly for me the best hummus I have ever had. We had leftovers, so I made sure to order my pita bread to enjoy later. My husband. Who is picky, and I mean the definition of PICKY. Thought it was a tad to salty...but none the less still enjoyed it.
I ordered the Succulent Chicken Shawarmas. Im a big chicken person. The chicken was so flavorful and cooked perfectly!
My husband ordered the Banging Beef Shawarmas without the tomato onion relish. The beef was cooked perfectly. He gave it a thumbs up. Staff was wonderful and accommodating. Refilling our drinks and even got us drinks to go. It was a tad busy. So I saw some that seemed overwhelmed...but you all did amazing.
The decor was also beautifully done.
My husband is a chef and Im a bakery owner. So we understand. We...
