This was my first visit to taco casa. Being a long time taco Bueno fan. It's not easy to say this might be a better option for fast food tex-mex. While a know Bueno makes everything from scratch they are still very greasy. And even though I had been told that taco casa wasn't greasy I was still very skeptical. Mainly because every taco I've ever had or even made myself has at best been a little bit greasy. But I was happy to be proven wrong. Couldn't taste or see a spot of grease in the 12 tacos or burritos I purchased. Not even hours later when I had a left-over snack. Which is usually when you can see through the wrapper due to all the grease settling at the bottom. You could also tell the shells of the tacos where made there fresh and not from a sleeve made in some warehouse from God knows where. Not even Bueno does that. Plus the price!! We got 6 tacos 6 bean burritos for less than 15 bucks. In comparison I got 5 muchacos with sour cream added to them with two medium sweet teas cost $29.73. And the tea tasted like it'd been made with moldy water. But in reality after working in food for over a decade of my life I know it's bad taste comes from them not washing and sanitizing the rubber spickett ever or so it tasted. Btw Moore locations on 19th for both establishments mentioned. All in all my overall point is Taco Casa is my new favorite fast food Tex-Mex...
Read moreTaco casa. What can I say about you that I haven’t said about other memorable experiences like learning to ride a bike or feeling the brisk morning dew on your bare feet? Like a sexy but reasonable Mexican American mistress you are always there when I need you. Even though sometimes I know you’re not good for me when I see you, when I smell you, it puts all of my unhealthy fears to rest. You are what I need. You make me believe it. You never let me down, except for that one time you were closed for Christmas Day. Your burritos are as big as the moon. Your taco, so fresh and ready to be snatched away. And tasting that sweet texmex nectar called sweet tea hits hard like the first time I listened to George Michael turned up all the way. Even the doors know when I’m here, they just open when I get close. I can’t quit you taco casa, even if...
Read moreI can only come here when driving through OKC because we don’t have this in Tulsa. I’m a huge fan of Taco Casa and will go any chance I find one. The food reminds me of another big chain but the way they made it in the 80s:Lots of cheese, simple ingredients, perfect execution. I have never gotten a bad meal at any taco casa which is not something I can say about any other fast food restaurant. On this visit, I discovered they have a spicy green sauce which opens a whole new level to my choices next time I visit. I generally get a super burrito and a super taco, but occasionally will get the chili burger or the smothered burrito. On rare visits, the super tostado. Again, everything is made to order and made perfectly every...
