Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find out if the good reviews are accurate or not. And i might not ever bother to find out. Because today is Good Friday, I thought their hours might be different. To play it safe, I called at 2:07 to be sure they would be open until 3:00. The woman confirmed.Yes, they would be open until 3:00 today, so I told them I would head over there. I drove thirty minutes to get there. The door was locked with the people still inside. I immediately called their number and knocked on the glass pane in the door. They looked right at me, then turned away and turned off the lights. Huh? I repeatedly knocked on the glass while their phone was still ringing, but they just walked out! What the heck? They knew someone was making a special trip to go to their business before they closed at 3! If they were sold out, or had to leave early for some reason, doesn't it seem that one of them could have taken a few seconds to come to the door to say something? "I am so sorry; we had o close early unexpectedly. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and hope you will visit us another time." Or, how about putting a polite note on the door that they had to close early? Or, even better, they could have found out that I only wanted to purchase some items that would require no preparation and no clean-up - it would have been a win-win! But to just be so rude has left a very bad taste in my mouth. Not sure I will bother to...
Read moreTruly disappointed in the Customer service. We ordered an antipasta salad....one would think that at a price of $5.99 it is safe to assume that it comes as a "salad" meaning with lettuce. What we received was a small container of diced vegetables. When I called the woman to question this, she told me that the antipasta salad doesn't come with lettuce, it's a side. I said then why is it listed under Salad's because it is misleading. She questioned where I saw this, I referred to the menu I had in my hand. She then stated that most people that want the salad state they want the antipasta salad salad. I hadn't noticed prior to ordering that they also offer a side dish with the same name of antipasta salad which is what we received. The reason I'm upset is that I believe in this situation the restaurant should take ownership of the error as they offer something in 2 sections of their menu that are different but named the same. Assuming your customer knows this and that they are different (mind you neither have a description) is ridiculous. Bottom line don't turn this back on the customer for not knowing how to order and that they need to add an additional "salad" to their order too convey which item they want! Poor customer service and truly overpriced for what we did receive. Won't be going back...
Read moreIf I could give this zero stars I would. So the guy at the front counter says how can I help you so I tell him my 2 breakfast sandwich order but he doesn't write it down nor does he tell the order to the cook in the back. He tells me OK and goes on to help the next customer. 15 minutes later the girl in the back comes out to me and says what did you order because he forgot. I said to the woman he forgot because he never wrote it down. So I had to wait an extra 10 minutes for my 2 breakfast sandwiches to be cooked. Then I get all the way home to find out that they gave me the wrong order. So I drive back and they say I'm sorry we are short staff. I totally understand being short staff but you didn't even write my order down when I was telling it to you. They hand me a bag and said I think this is yours. I said you think? I Ended up checking the bag and it was my order but still doesn't excuse the screw up of asking me my order and not writing it down. This place should not be called Long Island Bagels. A screw up like this wouldn't happen in Long Island. If you really want a bagel go to NY bagels...
