Hello Everyone, I have had 24 hours to reflect on what happened to me on 5/29/19 at Village Inn Pizza. First let me start out by saying that I have been going to Village Inn Pizza for 4 years. I loved going there once sometimes twice a week. I felt like I had great friends there. Every time I left I would say Thank You and look forward to coming back. Each year I liked giving the staff a small Christmas gift of chocolates to show my appreciation of them and Village Inn Pizza . I have gone to Village Inn Pizza over 200 times during my four years eating there . One day last week as I was coming out of the bathroom I picked up a plastic to go container went to my table put three maybe four slices of pizza in it and walked out . Next time I go in to Village Inn Pizza with my very close friends maybe 12 or 14 of us I paid for my meal as I usually do I sat down with them within about five minutes I was approached by two police officers who escorted me out side and told me that Village Inn Pizza had me on tape taking a to go container putting in slices of pizza from my table and walking out after I finished my meal. Village Inn Pizza had called the Police while I was sitting with my friends which I have done many times. I was terrified because I thought something had happened to one of my family members. In fact Village Inn Pizza wanted me removed and banned from the Restaurant for taking a to go container out of Village Inn Pizza because it’s their policy not to take food from the table. I completely understand that and didn’t know the rules were so strict subject to police escort off the property . All they had to do was talk to me next time I walked in telling me never to do that again instead they called the police to escort me out in front of my friends and patrons at the restaurant. Outside I was given an official trespass notification from the Mooresville Police Department. The letter stated that I was considered to be a threat to the health and welfare of the occupants of Village Inn Pizza because of my involvement in disturbances or other illegal activities . “That would be taking a to go container off a counter as I walked out of the bathroom and took the remaining four slices from my table and walking out” Yes I did that not knowing it was a Federal Offense punishable by Police escorting me out and giving me a Trespass Notification . “ Really “ Village Inn Pizza Corporate and Management “ Just confront me and warn me that was your policy and to never do it again. Well I will leave my review as follows and you can draw your own conclusions. I thought I was treated like Dog who had to be put down by Village Inn Pizza. Do they not realize how much business this will cost them. I have already been called by my friends who were astonished that this could happen in a community like Mooresville who just all pulled together with Blue Lights and ribbons to support officer Sheldon who was senselessly killed. We have the greatest Police Department in any town in the Country. I was crushed because I knew officer Sheldon in passing at various businesses around town. In closing I would like to thank this community for respecting and honoring this Police officers life. God Bless...
Read moreNot worth it. I’m surprised you’re even reading this review, DON’T EAT HERE. The food was horrid. It was a little sparse when we walked in, went to the counter and it was $15 per person for buffet. It was buffet so we didn’t think too hard abt the price. We got our drinks and looked at the buffet and was automatically put off. We had already paid so we got some food and sat down. The booths were so small my 14yo 115lb brother struggled to get in and sit. The pizza was worse than if you made frozen pizza in a broken oven. Ignoring the unbelievable amount of cardboard taste, the pepperoni pizza didn’t even have 1 pepperoni per slice, the cheese pizza was 50% grease, 40% bread and 10% cheese. And everything was cut unevenly. Between our whole group of 4 people we didn’t even eat a whole pizzas worth of pizza it was so bad. The salad was acceptable, especially compared to the pizza. I was worried about our well-being when it came to anything milk based. Bc if the food was that bad what else would they let go bad. For a place called “Village Inn Pizza” there was no village feel other than the outdated font on the front door. It was not homey, it was not fun, it was not full. Just a couple dozen table and shakes and two buffet lines. That’s it. That’s the whole thing right there. The building space would be better used as a dance studio; you would barely have to move anything. It was as clean as you would expect a Cecees pizza. The buss boy...
Read moreThis was a horrible mistake. The bathrooms were gross, the entire commercial sized roll of toilet paper was lying on the floor in the women's bathroom. The men's bathroom only had scalding hot water, which the children we brought didn't enjoy burning themselves with for some reason...🤔 The pizza is seriously paper thin. Literally. One of the kids we were with said it tasted like saltines. Saltines taste better and are thicker than this pizza. Thank goodness for salad. We spent $70 there for our group of 4 adults and 6 kids (and only 3 people had soft drinks, the other 7 had water) and what a punch to the gut that was. Heck, they'd save money making the pizzas thicker to fill people up! I have never left a restaurant hungry...until today. Our boys completed a 5k this morning and we thought we'd all go for pizza. We left wishing we'd gone somewhere else. Anywhere else. The staff never came by to pick up plates/bowls. Not once. They ran out of plates/bowls 3x while we were there and they weren't even slammed by any means whatsoever. The staff didn't interact with any of the customers unless they absolutely had to. The woman at the register was very unfriendly. Overall, I could never in good conscience recommend this...
