Thai Thai Cafe — Restaurant in Mooresville

Four of us had dinner here a couple nights ago. We have eaten here many times in the past - lunch, take out and dinner in the restaurant. Our food was always fresh and the service was good. Friendly staff, friendly owner. When we walked in on Wednesday, I didn't recognize anyone. Strange. But it had been a while. Something is definitely off. Pho was flavorless with very stringy beef. The sesame chicken was the right color, but the chicken was dry, more like jerky. Hard to chew. In my curry, the vegetables were cut differently. Minor maybe, but telling. And then, the staff disappears. No one brings the check. No one checks on us. Had to go to the counter finally to request the check and to go boxes. After trying the left overs just now I knew I needed to post a review. What happened??? Please tell me this was just a terrible night and everything will be fresh and delicious with friendly...

We went to Thai Thai Cafe as lunch was ending not realizing they close between lunch and dinner. We were leaving to get into the car and they came out with open arms saying we are welcome.. which was awesome because I’m visiting family in NC from KY and we drove 45 min after looking at their delicious menu. Not only was Ten (our server) and everyone so accommodating and sweet, our food was to die for!!!!! We got Pad See Ew. (Pud see ew), Pho, Orange chicken, Thai Basil with chicken, vegetable springs rolls and fried wontons. Everything was top notch delicious and flavorful. Not one of us had a complaint. The manager came out and made sure everything was good and like I said, everyone was so nice! If you want some really good Thai food, I highly recommend this restaurant! Husband and I decided to have a lunch date. We walked in at 12:50 pm and proceeded to be seated. Server took our orders at 1:03 pm. We gave him drink AND food order expecting it to speed up the process. 1:30 pm rolled around. WHERE IS OUR FOOD? We asked the server as we noticed others who came later had gotten their food. "It's coming shortly", he said. 1:40 pm rolled in and my husband went to the counter to check. He was told by the chef that or food HAD NOT BEEN started. Really??? Why lie? We decided to walk out at 1:45 pm as we had to pick up our daughter at 2 pm. As we were walking out, the chef yelled "We don't charge you. Here's your food"(painting to the counter).
