On Wednesday, April 9th, 2025, at 5:09 p.m., we were traveling west on Highway 150 (West Plaza Drive) just east of the intersection with Talbert Road. There was a major collision between two cars that caused significant traffic congestion. Anyone traveling east on Highway 150 west of Talbert Road experienced heavy traffic due to the accident. Traffic was affected in both directions, but particularly in the eastbound lanes where the incident occurred. We decided to stop at Zaxby’s to get some food for the road. We ordered an Asian Fried Zensation Zalad and a #2 Chicken Fingerz™ Plate Meal. When asking how many Chicken Fingers were included, the man at the drive-thru mentioned that it comes with either 4, 5, or 6 hand-breaded Chicken Fingers. He explained that the plate is served with Cole Slaw, Texas Toast, Crinkle Fries, and a small drink. We chose the plate with six chicken fingers due to hunger. After paying, I asked if everything was in the bag and the staff at the window confirmed it should be. Typically, we check orders carefully, but since traffic was not improving, we only verified that two meals were included. Once back on the road and encountering more traffic, we discovered only three small chicken fingers instead of the six ordered. Additionally, there were no utensils included to eat the salad and Cole slaw. The chicken was cold, rubbery, and chewy. Due to traffic conditions, returning to the store was not feasible. Attempts to call the store resulted in a message stating, “this mailbox is not currently set up to accept messages because voicemail has not been set up. Please try your call again later.” Repeated calls over a span of 30 minutes went unanswered. Upon arrival at our destination, we visited myzaxbysfeedback.com and zaxbys.com to submit feedback about the situation. In summary, we expected a refund for receiving three chicken fingers instead of the six paid for. The response provided was: “We appreciate your feedback as it will help us continue to improve the Zaxbys experience. Bring the QR coupon below into a participating Zaxbys to enjoy a FREE Big Zax Snak® Meal with the purchase of a Big Zax Snak® Meal.” For the record, the offer was valid for in-store purchases only. Returning to the store to pay for another meal to receive a free one was not a viable option. We will not be visiting Zaxby’s again. My husband and I went to dinner here, after wait for our food till they were done cleaning, a sweet Hispanic family came in. As we are eating, the family sat a cross from us, and they didn’t speak good English. Their young daughter tipped over a soda. The parents started to wipe the table down and the seat, realizing they needed help with the stuff in the floor. The young girl up front said “ someone go mop” she continues out and said to them “so you want us to clean it? we have to get a mop and dry mop it.” They didn’t speak much English but they nodded trying to work with the girl. Misunderstand the rude girl implying They need to move the family sat back down. Instead of asked the family to move to another table so they could clean up the girl working said “ well I don’t know how we can clean around you” the Hispanic family understood , said sorry and moved to another table. After the female worker and one of the boy workers cleaning started talking about this family and making jokes, laughing about this family as. My husband told the boy that the family was never asked to more so he should not be making a rude joke. They continued to laugh. I stood up and talked to the manager, ignoring the girl trying to talk over me to her as the manager and I spoke. This family did nothing wrong they asked for some help and didn’t even understand how Truely rude these people where being. I am Hispanic and seeing how rude these people were to this family was sick. I will never go back to this zaxby after this display and highly recommend other people to stay clear. Update: I visited in October of 2021. That visit was way better. I visited today May 13th of 2022. Bottom line? This visit was not worth the money paid. Me and a friend walked in, straight to the counter. There was no greeting of any kind, just a fellow standing there waiting for us to order. After placing our order, I went to the bathroom. It was relatively clean but for very few people to be in the restaurant, not clean enough. The hand drying machine did not work although the paper towel machine did. When I came out of the bathroom my friend had gotten our food. While it wasn't an incredibly long wait time, one feels if they have to wait on their food it should be hot and fresh. It was not. I do not know what they use to clean their seats but my seat was extremely sticky, as well as my friend's seat. We changed tables only to find that the seats there were sticky as well. I am including some pictures with this but it's hard to see that stickiness in the pictures. I got a Zack's snacks which is three chicken fingers a piece of toast and fries. The piece of toast had ranch dressing on it but my order did not include ranch dressing. I did not eat that. None of my food was hot at all, it was barely lukewarm. We saw staff members standing around talking and using their phones between orders and there weren't frequent orders. How is it that the trash is full, seats are sticky, tables haven't been cleaned the floor has not been swept, the bathroom isn't clean but people can still stand around and talk or get on their cell phone?
