I came in looking for a sofa and possibly a table and chairs. I find the sofa I want, but I did need to go home and double check if it'll fit. I ask if they'll hold it just for the time it takes me to get to my house and measure. The first girl we talked to didn't know so she brought another girl to talk to us and she told us that they would only hold it until 8 when they close, and I could call and pay for it over the phone after I got the measurements. I came in around 4-430, so it would only be about 3 hours. She took down all the information about the sofa and told me to call and ask for her and she'll remember. Well, I called at about 630 to buy it. I told the man who answered the phone about the sofa, who freaking laughed when I described it. He said the girl I talked to was with customers and that they don't hold items and that someone else was buying it! Finally the girl picked up the phone and told me that they won't hold items, that I misunderstood her, and that someone else had bought the couch! She sold the couch she told me she would hold for me!!! I am absolutely livid!! I was also going to see about purchasing a table and chairs as well, but now I am definitely not. The ONLY reason I am not giving 1 star is because they do have nice inventory, and the other woman who showed me the table I wanted...

I've had a varied experience with this second-hand furniture thrift store, having frequented it during the tenure of both the original and current owners. Initially, the store was a gem under the first owners, who were friendly, down-to-earth, and offered a diverse range of affordable pieces. It was always a pleasure to explore the store.
However, since the change in ownership, there has been a noticeable shift. The introduction of high-end and less budget-friendly items has altered the store's affordability and the overall selection. While the store still has some interesting new pieces, the variety and charm seem to have taken a hit.
It's worth noting that the new owner may prioritize a different market, but this has come at the expense of the welcoming and accessible atmosphere that characterized the store before. The shift is a matter of personal preference, and some may appreciate the updates. Yet, for those who enjoyed the original appeal of the thrift store, the changes might leave them yearning for the more down-to-earth experience it...
Read moreI have spent the last few years trying to figure out how to properly furnish my awkwardly shaped large bonus room and if it wasn't for the help and expert guidance of Al at Going Twice Furniture I would still be searching. This man was so professional, patient and courteous through all my questions and indecision about what to do with this room. In the end it was his expert knowledge and gentle prodding of helping me to think "outside the box" in terms of design and layout options for a room I thought was hopeless that resulted in my finally having the bonus room I'd be dreaming of for two years. He helped me figure out from the measurements I provided how to arrange the large sectional couch I really wanted to buy from them with the other pieces I already in the room along with suggestions of other ways to accent with color, pictures, lighting etc., etc., and as I stated above the room looks fabulous! So here's a big shout out to Al and Going Twice for having someone like him to help those of us who need a little help...
