I just got a new job as a hotel night auditor. Needed business casual like clothing (dress pants, shoes, tie, dress shirt). They had my size in everything I was looking for. Plenty of "sales" (we know some places say sales and claim mark downs when they really aren't) that were nice to have when trying to get more clothes. Compared to another store in the plaza, the dress pants were not on sale and we're more expensive. Belk on the other hand, had pants on sale far cheaper as well and in my opinion more variety and comfort.
The big thing was being asked to apply for their card. I turned down the offered and that was it. I was never asked again where some places push hard to get you in their credit card this location at least, did not. The final "that's awesome" was when checking out, I was asked by the cashier to use my phone to check the Belk website for a coupon to see if I can save a bit more. Sure enough I did. Made the amount I spent a little less painful (not used to shopping for these kind of clothes and never drop so much money 200 - 300 in one go on myself) which was really nice. I was in and out. It was nice shopping at a store that had my sizes in everything I was looking for. It was nice to just shop at one place for once and not run around several different stores or just making due till another day.

   Read moreI bought a LeVian ring for $1537.50 in their fine jewelry dept. in Mooresville on 6/26/24. After getting it home, I decided it was too dressy and I would never get much use out of it. On 6/29/24, I went to the store and they refused to give me a refund even though my receipt says "return by 7/26/24". I had the tags also. The reason they would not take it back is because I had removed the tag (even though I had the tags). I did not know you could not remove the tags. The person in jewelry showed me in tiny letters on the tag saying it was not returnable if you removed the tag. I was not told this when I bought it and the receipt says return by 7/26. Also, their website says fine jewelry can be returned with a receipt and tags within 30 days. I guess Belk cares nothing about customer service and I will never shop there again after being a customer for years. I am now stuck with an expensive ring I will not wear and they could care less if I ever come back or post a bad review! I guess they never heard the customer is always right. I worked for a number of years at the headquarters of a major jewelry chain for the VP of store operations who never would have treated customers in this manner and told me the customer is always right, but this was several years ago and times have certainly changed in...

Within 15-20 minutes I had everything I needed and downloaded the Belk app at the suggestion of Evelyn which helped save a bit off the top too!
