This place used to be fun to shop at.. their prices are insane! I asked the manager how they go about pricing things. They said they price things at 50% off the sale price. THE FREE DONATIONS THEY GET- they charge you 50% of the sale price. Doesn’t matter if it’s broken, missing parts, or has been used more than a handle at a gas pump. I found a brand new still in the box ceiling fan that they marked the SAME price at Home Depot up to the counter. I showed them the website and showed the prices matched to the sale price today. The lady behind the counter looked me in the eyes and said it’s marked 50% off. IM LOOKING AT THE SAME PRICE. if you wonder why they have the same furniture for 6 months to a year for sale it’s your jacked price expectations. I would not take your donations here as they use them to squeeze every dime out they can. I will happily drive 30 minutes to...
Read moreI am a low income single mother barely scraping by and I thought this place was supposed to be about helping people like me, but just like every other business in existence, they don't actually give a rat's a** about anyone but themselves.
My child needed a desk to study for school and I came here hoping I could find one that I could afford. Realizing I had forgotten to grab my wallet at home, I asked if they would hold the desk for me while I ran home. I literally live five minutes from the store. They agreed and in the time it took me to get home and immediately come right back they sold the desk to someone else and tried to tell me I had been gone over a half hour!
Now I get to go home and explain to my child that I couldn't get her a desk!
I'm sick and tired of living in a society that doesn't give a rat's a** about anyone except themselves! Thanks...
Read moreI actually used to love coming here. They have nice things. Recently, things have changed. The pricing has gotten out of hand. Most items are used with visible wear and tear. There's no way it should be priced the same as a new item on sale. It's used!
Example: I looked at a shaker cabinet vanity today priced at $180 at Habitat. I looked online at Lowe's to see the price difference. At Lowe's, a vanity with same dimensions was priced at $149. I researched a bit more just to be fair, same style vanity, with same dimensions was listed at $189. Im not going to buy something used for the same as a new item.
I even saw 3 crumble up, clearly used aluminum disposable pans. They were priced at $3.55. They should've been FREE or trashed. Maybe .50 at best!!
I encourage you to price check prior...
