My dearest friends, it is awe that inhabits and inspires me to write to you so fervently about the unforeseen circumstances that have induced me to challenge your disposition on Cookout. I bid you earnestly the awareness, might you have never possessed, that Mooresville is home to a gem so divinely polished that it would be insurmountable for another franchise to compare. If the inadvertent struggles of life is analogous to the pangs of hunger, then in death our journey to the heavens would open through the gates of its clamshell styrofoam tray. I abhor those wicked enough to mock this divinity as peasantry when it manifests itself under the guise of a $4.95 lunch or dinner, when all other options are closed for the night and we are guided by its light of neon through our inebriated eyes, when it delivers us to salvation (salivation?) that was promised by the inscriptions on a half century-old menu aesthetic! Do you not feel the same gratitude as I, who after a series of disappointment and dismay, am so easily swayed by its influence? Is your imagination yet filled, if at all, with the excitement and delectability of hot, crispy tortillas meeting your teeth for the first time? Or the contrivance that breathes life into a barbecue sandwich of picturesque assembly? For that is the work of The Creator who presses down on the tortillas, who cultivates the nuggets and the hushpuppies, who in unison with the sun and moon flips the patties, who performs these wondrous miracles for a pittance of $12 an hour at best! Let me not finish this letter without indulging you the only favor I ask, that is, in spite of your disposition to never denounce this oasis that resides here, this temple, this truth, and if it’s within your means to pay alms to its...
Read moreUpdate (03-13-2021, see original post below): we have received much better service over time! Most recently we went a few days ago and got more food than usual and the cashier (different than the previous cashier mentioned below) at the window was super nice! Our shakes were perfect, food was hot and tasty and nothing was made incorrectly! We will definitely be coming back regularly after this location redeeming itself so well!
(10-19-2020) my spouse and I typically go to this particular location often because we love cookout and this location has been great until about a month ago where several of our visits including tonight’s have been very underwhelming.
Tonight we arrived at about approximately 1am (which most people know cookout is known for staying open till 2-3am) and started to order our trays. While I was ordering mine and starting to say I wanted a blueberry cheesecake milkshake I was cut off by the person taking our order for her to say the machine was either down or done for the night (we were bummed but dealt with it) ordered the rest of our food and went to the window to pay. We paid for our food and got our drinks then proceeded to wait for about 10-15 minutes before getting our food of which I happened to glance over at the time an employee was making a milkshake (I know what a milkshake machine looks like and the motion that goes with it) we finally got our food and drove off only to find out we did not receive our white cheese bites. We were very sad with the whole experience.
In the past we have received chicken tenders that look like literal balls of chicken more than once. Until this location gets better at the food and delivery we may not be back to this location but will stay hopeful for other...
Read moreBeen here 3 times. Never been until I moved here last year. I always just get a regular cheeseburger & milkshake. First time my burger was great. Now it seems the food is going downhill. My burger was much smaller than my bun so it was more bread than burger. My bf got a double & we compared. My burger was actually thicker than his double combined. Seems like a way to just charge more without actually giving more lol. We had to laugh. The milkshakes however are good. Especially the banana cream pie one. Got a chocolate malt before and didn’t taste much malt it literally just tasted like chocolate. Anyway about a month ago I was going through the drive through to get milkshakes for a late night craving. It sounded like gunshots went off. Like many rounds. It was crowded and I never knew what happened. Couldn’t find anything out. Fire trucks and lots of police were coming through as I was leaving. It sounded like firecrackers but I don’t think it was. Definitely a bit concerning. I hope they can get a decent cook in there as it seems by the reviews the burgers have not been up to par. Might have to stick with five guys even though...
